This thread's purpose is to see what everyones perfect game is. (Even though we all know it's not possable.)

Ok, I'll start it off.

Third person Sci Fi shooter MMO

* It would have to have the open world aspects of the game Defiance along with it's gunplay and combat abilities. I would like to add some of the classes from ME3 MP into the gunplay as well(Engineer for example) since those classes are just fun to play.

* I would like LOADOUTS system of making your own customized weapon via part by part allowing players to make your dream weapon.

-I would add War Frames color pallette ability for weapons and armor on this system.

*I would add Final Fantasy 14's crafting and housing sytem in as well allowing players to modify their own home/guild/clan base.

* I would want a pick your own monster/map/difficulty system in like from ME3 MP for when you got bored of the pre-made maps.

*For story, even though it's a MMO, I would still like a decision wheel option on seperate paths we can take even though it's the same in the end.

*It would also have to be sub based because despite the general claim. Free to play games cost the player more in the end compared to subbed based where everything is equal.

*(I will add more in later when I think of it.)

Something like the Edge of Tomorrow. I know basically the movie is based on the premise of a video game, but imagine if they made a game based around that type of idea.

Think of something like, every 20 mins of gameplays sets a new time reset point (so that you dont have to replay the entire game after dying 10 mins from the end), and where your decisions would impact things. So lets say a character dies, but you dont want them too, you kill yourself and reset to try and make sure you dont get them killed. But it also means you'd have to make sure you do so before another checkpoint sets, other wise theyd be gone and resetting would do nothing.

I dont know, I just like Edge of Tomorrow lol

Jedi Knight III

- simply Jedi Academy with better graphics (DA:I graphics?)

- enhanced lightsaber and weapons gameplay

- over 5 lightsaber styles of fighting

- Story-plot @ New Vegas level

- borrowed elements from Episode VII

- capable character creator

- Multiplayer (online & offline) @ the level of Unreal Tournament III

Dark Medieval fantasy with a soundtrack that is sort of a blend between between ye olde celtic bard music and classic rock with a pinch of 80's power ballad thrown in for good measure. The story itself would be told somewhat like a bardic tale/rock odyssey with each chapter adding a new verse based on the character's actions, your actions would not only effect the world around you but your adventures would also leave their mark on your character both physically and mentally, as the years pass your character may grow in physical and magical power but become increasingly broken and unhinged mentally, by the end your character will have either sacrificed everything he/she once loved in the refusal to perform the more ruthless actions or become the monster they once set out to destroy, there is no happy ending.

That mechanic exists in many games already, it is called autosave.

Edit: or was that supposed to be a joke that went over my head?

Assassin's Creed: Black Flag without the Assassin's Creed.

I still LOVE that game and consider to be the closest thing to my dream game I'm likely to see, but it would be perfect with a storyline driven by something more classical.

A better Galactic Civilization with more micro managements, better diplomacy and more exciting materials. Hopefully the upcoming game will do that.

Also NWN 3 RPG (not MMO) with Obsidian-esque story line. Nuff said.

Mmm, I believe first achievement in a videogame should be entertaining the gamers in the most strictly interpretation: so, not only an involving story/atmosphere but a lot of parody genre elements to provokes much laughs as possible. Like the third and fourth episode of Saints Row saga or Overlord, for example.

Non-linear story and procedural maps to assure multiple playthroughs.

Our avatar should have maximum freedom as possible to complete his quest/missions. PC levelling system totally empirical.

Not bad if we could have a family and an our personal house, maybe with the possibility to work it up and - why not?! - create an expanding center for a village (with buildings, activities, etc.)

Opportunity to continue our run even after the end of story/main plot simply for messing around/seeing our world and having fun to find some side stories.

Graphics: like ME3. There is no need to improve something that should compel gamers spending hundreds of bucks to upgrade their computer! C'mon, if they spend money for the hardware there is a concrete risk having a lack of money for the software!

DLC: a couple every year. One with additional NPC and storylines, the other one with some objects like weapons, suites, general stuff for our house/village, etc.

An unlockable second main plot for our PC's heir.

NPCs must have a major memory than a damned goldfish! If I punch in the face someone at the next time the guy cannot tell me "Hi-diddily-ho!" but put under my nose a damned knife or being scared!

If my PC have a certain behaviour there is no way that a dude of opposite morality could join my party: it's stupid!

Gosh, I could continue for ages. I'll stop here but I believe it's clear what I would like! :)

You're a dreamer! These are 1950s sci-fi fantasies like having flying cars!

These things won't happen soon. For example despite the advanced medicine of today, most people still perish in their 70s-90s. There is no 150 years old yet! etc.

Brain is not an electrical pad just like computer motherboards. It has lots of blood and chemical stuff which make it impossible to connect it to computers. Also Brain's powers and sectors are not fully known. So it might take another 100 years to do your dream.

That's why I'm making it up. I don't know if it's actually plausible.

survival horror sandbox RPG like dead island whith a create a character.

You start off like the guy in 28daysLater you wake up and sheeet has gone down.

you are nude alone and helpless you need food clothing and weapons.

wareing rags can get you mistaken for an infected. as can being nude.

the infected in this case are more like the crossed than Zombies.. just.. just enougth zombies.

Ok so the infected are smart and messed up they can plan and infect others. so you need survivours to survive you need fortifacation ect

My idea is to coppy dead reconing whith its loot system any thing can be worn and used as a weapon.

Two amorphous blobs holding up signs that straight white men are evil. I dunno about gameplay. Press F to hold up signs? I'm sure the minimalist gameplay stylings would get rave reviews at Kotaku, Polygon and wherever else the developer has friends at.

If people think that sounds stupid or that I'm overexaggerating SJWs, Zoe Quinn pre-Depression Quest was popular amongst San Fran SJW gaming circles for a game called 'Jeff Goldblum Staring Contest'. It was a .jpg file of Goldblum's face. Not even joking. Goddamn hipsters.

As for my perfect game, I dunno. Changes with my mood sometimes. But it'd probably be some amalgamation of Darklands, Divinity: Original Sin and Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic.

Large open world rpg played primarily in the over world, party turn based combat, choose your own adventure style quest narratives, plenty of interactivity on the non-overworld maps and light grand strategy elements. By that, I mean factions driven by AI and their wars/actions impact the story.

It's called Patreon. I think it only works if you are a woman claiming harassment though. Better start that hormone therapy, mate. :P

Several companies are developing prosthetic limbs that integrate nodes capable of communicating with the brain. Furthermore, their is tech( very primitive ) that inserts into the brain and connects to a computer( via wires, yes it looks as horrific as it sounds) for people that are completely paralyzed. It's all very primitive but, we are slowly but surely getting to the point where we will overcome many of the human bodies short comings through technology.
