Hi, all!

OK, two questions. If these questions have already been answered, please direct me to the answer. Thanks!

My first playthrough of Awakening, I didn't take Anders with me; yet, when I loaded that playthrough into DA2, Anders talks like he did go with me. Was this intentional or a bug? Do I HAVE to take him with me in Awakening in order for the story to make sense?

This recent playthrough of Origins, I decided not to take Zevran; I let him live, but didn't take him. When he shows up for that quest in DA2, will it be mentioned that he did go with me, even though he didn't?

Some inconsistencies that I thought were annoying.

This is not a bug, Anders was retconned into always joining the Warden, and he will always be in DA2.

As for Zevran, he will show up and mention the Warden during his quest. I believe this is caused because the import only checks if Zevran is alive, instead of checking if he joined the Warden.

*scratches head at this bit of retconning*  I had Anders join the Wardens in Awakening, but man, that sucks for those who didn't have him join.

As for Zev... I just hope the import flag fix I have installed gets the game to recognize that he and my Warden are lovers.  (I used an Origins -> Awakening -> GoA -> Witch Hunt import rather than an Awakening import, sooo... yeah.)

So I'll have to take Anders with me if I wanna make it make sense to the story. Blah, whatever. Alright. As for Zevran, blah. I'll just deal with it. Thanks!

I fear it's never going to work properly. At best you get Zevran to remember he was in love with the Warden, but he will act like they performed the Ultimate Sacrifice and died, even if they're still alive. Zevran's bugged to oblivion and back when it comes to his romance. <_<

...And I just realized that I DIDN'T actually have that mod installed after all.  Third restart, here I come.

Their use of Anders was just interesting/weird... I mean it was cool to have Anders and Justice merge, but they completely changed his personality and voice actor (I liked him a lot in DAA and found him super annoying in DA2), and potentially his back-story.  It just felt like a totally different character.  I heard that when DA2 was initially being designed, they thought Velana was going to be the mage companion.  It wouldn't have made as much sense to the story though (at least as we got it), so I guess it makes sense they changed it to Anders.

And omg Zevran.  He looked soooo different and the import bugs were cringe-worthy.  It was fun having him join the final battle, but eesh.

Amen to this.

Also, I found this for DA2 Zevran...  http://www.nexusmods...ge2/mods/2930/?

At least he doesn't look QUITE as horrifying (judging from the screenshots anyway) but geez.  Did they have to hit every not-pure-Dalish elf except Fenris with the Ugly Stick of Doom?
