2 weeks in a row we get impossible numbers to achieve.

I played on threatening all weekend when normally I only play perilous trying to carry other people to get the numbers up for the community challenge and we still fail by like 30000.

Please just stop with these ridiculous numbers you can't just calculate how many people bought the game and then assume everyone is gonna play the entire weekend nonstop to even have a chance at reaching these numbers.

Most people just bought the game for the single player and don't even play multi-player especially since a lot of stuff has been bugged since release and still isn't fixed nor do we have any word on when if ever they will be fixed.

I would strongly suggest you just give us 2 individual challenges each weekend and forget about community ones its getting really discouraging failing them week after week.

They're probably having a hard time predicting the number of players participating each weekend. I believe a huge number of players are flat-out quitting every couple days so setting the challenge pre-req numbers can be tough lol.

Damp is suffering a slow death, and we will witness it through the dwindling weekend challenge participation.

The thing about this challenge is that it's difficult for really bad players to do. And those types of players actually make up the majority of every game's population.

On the flip side, I only play multiplayer. I enjoy it much more than Sp, not sure why.

And Playstation met their goals...just sayin'

Wow, your quick to give up.  Last week they way overshot.

This week all PlayStation consoles met the challenge.

Considering its a guessing game concerning challenges I'd say they are quickly dialing in.

Lets see what next week brings.

Maybe because this game is designed to be played on console...?

It's funny that some people think that if they spam MP 24/7 this will contribute to 125k challange.

Let's count that up:

one game takes about 20min (excluding joining lobby that sometimes takes 10mins, crashed games and ones that someone dies)

in perfect situation you are getting 4 contribution points to challange

48h = 2880min : 20 = 144 x 4 = 576.

So you contributed 144 points which is 0,1% of goal.

Do you really think that there will be 1000 people spamming this shiet just to get 5x white swords?

And whats up with the time of this challange? It's supposed to be weekend challange (2 days) but is seems it starts at around 1pm in friday and ends up 6am monday? It's done by now right? If not, it lasts around 60h? dabliu ti ef. (CET).

The idea of Community Challenges is to bring casual players to the game over the weekend. That is all.

The target number although not as foolish high as last weekend's, is still unrealistic.

That's not THAT big of a number... to be hard to predict.

Seriously, they overshot last weekends event and they admitted fault for that. On the other hand you have both PS3/4 reach their target. Xbone may make its target (I dunno about the 360) and the PC might scrape through. Considering the rather low end target of 125k, they've set the limit at an achievable place. Its just more of a challenge to the PC crowd as there doesn't seem to be as much of a player base around.

Anyway, 3 proper weekend challenges and your calling it quits? Where is your sense of have at them and go that the net is famous for man?! :P On a slightly more serious note. Give them a few more weeks, if nothing improves, then you might have a point to stand on.

I tried to participate this weekend but I've got "you've lost connection to the Dragon Age servers" and black loading screens.

If they really want players to participate, they need to fix their servers/game first.

The number is fine, PS3\4 could make it after all. PC is going to get past 4 star.

Speaking about my own  personal experience this weekend, I could achieve twice more medals if not for the multiple connection issues. As much as I love DA, I don't really enjoy wasting my time in attempts to connect. It was like 40% of time connecting for 60% playing (at best).

As in you've only played one DAMP game, or you only played one game for the challenge then gave up? If the former, I fail to see how you can determine a game isn't fun from just one game.

What? No I meant specifically this weekend lol

I do jump on every now and again but the match tend to be less and less fun each go round I suppose. Doesn't mean I hate it in anyway just found it more fun back in ME3

See, this is the problem.  While I have no problem with them trying to draw in more casual types, if that's their goal, they need to make the objective something the casual types can achieve.  I play the MP pretty frequently, and have since day 0, but it took me more than a day to scope out how to meet even the personal challenge with anything other than just solo/routine runs (which isn't much fun).  Creating a goal where a bunch of newcommers to the MP are constantly screwing it up for the entire party by playing like newcommers just frustrates the veteran players and leads to the newbies getting kicked from lobbies...

Basically, the exact opposite of what you're going for with a weekend event.

It's a shame too, because the ME3 weekend events were so spot on.  I looked forward to them every week and lost many a weekend to constant MP play trying to win a new banner and a chest.  They created a real sense of community and were accessible to players of every skill level (I made no claim to be anything other than a bronze/silver newbie).  I don't know why they're having so much trouble finding that same tone in DAMP.

Well looks like i even dont complete personall challenge this week :D have 6/7 and at work :(. Yesterday i came from forrest, played some games, but there was ALWAYS someone who connected around round 4/5 and died :D jezz

About community PC challenge...well i was not here, so...

Still since this game doesnt have anything like lobbies, text chat etc, i know only few ppls here. You are not just motivated to grind 70 hours for some crappy chest that doesnt have better loot that 2x large chest..if victory chest had guaranteed 17+ purple items or just 2x purple...well..

Personally, from what I saw during my many hours spent this weekend on PUGs on PC, people are just plain bad :)

I'm not stellar by any means of the word, but I do read what the event is about and act accordingly in groups. It was not my experience that alot of others that I happened to bump into that did the same.

This weekends numbers weren't impossible to achieve.  I will admit I'm a little annoyed with Assassin players in general right now but we really could have made the community goal on time if people had stuck with it.  On PC we got the first star fast enough on Friday night and into Saturday morning and then it all seemed to slow way down.  I almost think we'd have been better off if the personal challenge number had been higher. Because it seems like people did the personal challenge and then either stopped or became idiot assassins that didn't know when to back off and seemed to think any Keeper in a match was there purely to follow them around and be their own personal barrier machines.

And no. I am not knocking the freak deaths where say an Archer or mage gets taken out by a stealth rogue npc or something like that.  I really did watch more than a few assassins run into a big melee and then die horribly when the fight got rough instead of trying to back out of it.

I didn't even know about community challenges until now. Haven't tried MP yet since I'm still busy with the campaign.

^ this... I played 6 routine pug games in a row and was done with the personal one - not really a challenge. After that I played a couple more matches but was quickly frustrated because some players were just rushing forward and dying constantly :(

btw: the commendation chest had a little better loot indeed - but not breathtakingly better <_<

Why do people get so upset about these community challenges?

First of all others wont gain more prestige points as everyone gets the points for the amount you aquire.

Second, all you get is a regular 1200 chest. Is it really worth all the hassle, and complaining for that one 1200 chest? I would say definatly no.

Simply upping the award would make these challenges more feasible, im sure a lot of people dont bother with these events because the victory/commendation chests are no different to large chest. A guarantee of some sort of unique or new schematics would no doubt provide extra incentive for people to at least attempt these challenges
