Three-Eyes and Ser, by far. I'm rather fond of how they dgaf.

I like Your Trainer (since DAO) and the reaver trainer. The Reaver trainer sounds well balanced on how she sees people and seems firm on how she trains people. I remember Your Trainer back in DAO/DAA and she's been in the fade for tooooooooooooooooooooo looooooooooooooong which makes her seem like a basket case. Also since that's the case that's why she forgot her name too.

Presumably Ser came from the Order.

The Champion from Orlais, etc.

Dragon Cults, Merchants guild, They all drop a few hints.

Oh god, yeah. That line. I was disappointed when I didn't get to talk to Your Trainer more. I really liked her.

 

I wonder, did she say that learning rift magic shortened her life? She sort of implied that the whole brain-addled thing wasn't the only side effect.

While I agree that Your Trainer has the most colorful personality, I've come to like Commander Helaine. She embodies almost as much command as the spirit in Crestwood. I like how it appears like if you don't have the confidence to stand up to her presence, you'll end up hating her and walk away from the most impressive mage specialization. "*You* tell *me* if you are worthy", indeed.

I generally play a mage and, I detest all of the mage trainers. Neco trainer is condescending, Your Trainer sounds like an idiot and, Commander comes off as having a serious superiority complex. I would not want any of them as a teacher. I go KE because I prefer the spec over the others but, I do wish we cold get the book and skip Helaine entirely.

I really hope to see a Tempest pop up in the novels and comics, and that its a specialisation that will be available in the next game.
