I am not sure if this has been asked so if it has sorry but what is the purpose of decorating and upgrading my bedroom if I don't really interact with it? I feel like it's a waste of a nice "Ferelden II" bed. Am I missing something? Thanks!
The point of having a bedroom is?

You get to Ride the Bull on your new Orlesian 3 bed. The Ferelden II bed is great and all, but it has weird clipping with the camera in the cut scenes.
What else is worth doing in a bedroom?
(It shows up in a few cut scenes, and you wake up in it during your morning afters, and the Quizquisition guy shows up there now and then, but that's really it.)

Almost feels like it was meant to have more purpose but the team ran out of time or what have you. It does feel a bit like an empty shell. I mean you have to go through a friggin loading screen to get to it - and for what? ![]()

But while we're here, why the hell do the bed upgrades have captions? EPIC BED indeed.

Okay so it's not just me! Purely decorative then aside from a few romps in the hay? LAME! You can't even jump off the balcony!

No! It is certainly not just you
... I understand your need for an answer to that question pretty well ... *sigh*
There could be DLC's and hopefully there will be. But honestly ... I want them to fix the many bugs and several other areas first. But I am hopeful for an extended DLC that lets us upgrade Skyhold to no end. I mean the damn thing looks like it was made for it!
But I also have to say I would join "Mes" who said:

That is what I am thinking too. So what will happen in the future is ritten in the stars, really ...

You can't even jump off the balcony!
I was disappointed with that, too.
Would have been some epic ankle-breaking!

I despise the loading screens in Skyhold especially when I go to craft, sometimes I just skip crafting because I don't want to go through a loading screen :|
To have sex with a companion then find out the "Quiz Guy" was in the closet the whole time.
Be thankful video cameras don't exist in Thedas yet.
Imagine if a sex tape of the Inquisitor leaked XD

Too bad that few of the beds are messed up. One have no canopy at all and the other has a wrong canopy and some have pillows missing completely, looking nothing like in the Val Royeaux shop and in the buildins around different areas. Nice. But yeah, you could do more in your quarters at the Normandy than you can in Skyhold.

We got a bedroom because people wanted more personalized customization options.
What better way to customize your experience than with a bed... Hmm.

bah you don't need sex tapes when you have scouts and messengers, everyone knows what's going on anyway
mandatory:
and that just after a single kiss

Yeah, no way to avoid a loading screen. I tried too.

Don't nobody wanna see the Herald's Andrasste

Things I want to do in the bedroom: read fanmail, play that lute thing by the desk, pretend to be busy at the desk, jump on the bed, break the bed, stop the couch from moving whenever Josephine leaves/shows up.

I'd break the bed teamed up with Harding. I think my Quizzy and her have both the expertise and the passion needed.

You have NO idea! Sera is my girl...when I got to my scene all I could see were her nipples poking through the bedsheets and half her face...

I kind of thought my LI might move in to my bedroom at some point, but no.
I also thought that great big closet might be good for storage, but no.
I looked around for things to click on and either have random thoughts (a la DA2); or, after romance started, prompt my LI to come in and random things would happen: some romance thing, playing cards, looking at the view . . . but no.
That desk would be a great place to sit and go through your papers, maybe initiate quests, but no.
Sigh.

This is all because it's not a real bedroom, behind that door to your 'Quarters' is a fade rift which takes you directly into a pocket dimension made by spirits from your wildest dreams. Every single time you enter that door, you promptly fall unconscious and begin to dream. Nothing that happens there is real, it's just a figment of an exhausted Inquisitor's mind.* #mindgames #indoctrination
*Just thought I'd lighten the mood with a joke!

Its more eye candy art. You can look at it, not interact with it and move on......
We should be able to sit on it, sleep in it and decide how long we nap or sleep. Take your romanced character to that bedroom whenver you want, have them go to bed and you can jump on them, climb into bed, sex, cuddling, you know......but instead we get nothing.

One of the balconies you can jump off of. I landed on Josie's desk somehow...

I find the whole of skyhold to be pointless its like the Normandy they never finsihed repairing it, even with all the upgrades you still see things unfinished
