I don't like going into the bedroom. I'm still scarred by that creepy sequence where you're speaking to Solas in what appears to be Haven and then suddenly you wake up in your bedroom. And then when you go downstairs to see Solas, he's all like "Sleep well?" And you're like, "Who are you? Bill Cosby?"

You get to Ride the Bull on your new Orlesian 3 bed. The Ferelden II bed is great and all, but it has weird clipping with the camera in the cut scenes.

 

What else is worth doing in a bedroom?

 

(It shows up in a few cut scenes, and you wake up in it during your morning afters, and the Quizquisition guy shows up there now and then, but that's really it.)

My sex scene with Cass and my Qun Mage seemed to take place in the upstairs of the barn like place?  Atleast, thats where we ended.. I sure didnt see anythign that looked like the room.. I do recall being teleported there 2 or 3 times after starting a conversation in the bar, or way outside somewhere...

The Prison also served no Purpose.. Nor did the "upgrades" most of the Catwalk walls, the Army requisition room, the courtyard, lol...Alot of the game was just pasted as filler.. 

 

Or, and i think this is more likely.. There were plans for it, and they rushed it out the door, to meet the holiday season.. Seeing that 2014 was a dud for games released, they had GOTY in the bag... So basically.. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Not finishing it also saved $$$$$

Okay so it's not just me! Purely decorative then aside from a few romps in the hay? LAME! You can't even jump off the balcony!

You can! I found the one spot that let you jump over the railing, and promptly got the "out of bounds" message. I'm kind of ashamed of how long I spent trying to find it. Mostly, though, I go there where I'm on the Scattered in Skyhold gathering quest and to look for the quizquisition guy. Well, that, and I like to jump up on the railing between the owls and jump onto the bed from the balcony. I'm ashamed of that, too.

 

I don't mind the bedroom, but I do mind that ridiculous staircase you have to climb to get there. If they're going to do a transition via a door, they might as well just do it at the top of the stairs and get it over with.

At first, I thought,look at all the extra storage space, weapon racks, armor racks; but I guess that didn't work out...

 

Then I wondered about that unfinished section and where that ladder went and why couldn't I check it out.

That staircase place freaks me out. It's this big expansive creepy nothingness, and I can't jump over the railing to check anything out. Those ravens there are going to peck my Inquisitor's eyes out one fine day, I just know it.

it's there in case Inquisitor misbehaves, very handy at presenting an assassination as accident.

I just wish Blackwall would have used the bedroom too.  I refuse to ever do his romance, cause there's just so much wrong with that sex scene-worst of all being him leaving you naked and alone in a horse stable.  v.v

I just read they are testing the beta for the new patch update soon and adding a storage chest (FINALLY) and other tidbits! Keeping my toes crossed for a added things you can interact with in the bedroom. Maybe that warm bath the quizzie was hoping for eh Bioware??

As much as I wish they added the storage chest to the bedroom just to give us a reason to go there, the public blog post about Patch 5 said that it's being added to the undercroft. On the one hand, it would have been great to have a reason to go to the bedroom. On the other, most people will probably be using the storage chest for upgrades or to save equipment for future level-ups, so the undercroft is probably a better place for it.

 

Maybe when/if they give us the option to change our Skhyhold outfit, they will add a valet to our bedroom.

 

Valet: "Good day, messere. Shall I arrange your wardrobe?"

Inquisitor: "Yes, I'll wear my blue doublet today./Yes, I'll wear my red doublet today./Yes, I'll wear my green doublet today./No, my current outfit will suffice."

Valet: "Very good, ser." (Inquisitor's outfit changes)

Stuff that would make the bedroom less pointless

 

• A storage chest
• Letters and notes that appear on your desk from party members
• Knick knacks you found in your travels
• A pet
• A wardrobe (so you don't just have to wear jammies around skyhold)
• A feature that can call up an LI like ME2

 

Just off the top of my head.
