I stumbled on this by accident. I do not know if this is by design or something but I hope it stays.

What I am talking about refers to Simulacrum, the Necromancer passive.

With Simulacrum, whenever you are killed, your body is taken over by a spirit that fights for you for 10 seconds. Which means, you play the game just like you would except you are now a spirit and you are stuck as a spirit for the entire duration.

Additionally, any ability you cast will not cost any mana. I do not think I have to explain why this is awesome.

However, there is something else you can apparently do with this passive. If you enchant your gear with 1% Health on hit enchantment, during this 10 seconds of spirit form, if you hit an enemy, then you just refill your health just like normal. But once the skill is over, you will not drop unconscious ! Instead you will still be alive somehow because of the health you regenerated using that particular enchantment when you are in your spirit form.

So this essentially means one thing :- YOU. ARE. IMMORTAL.

I do not know if this is just a bug on this particular copy of the game or if this health draining enchantment + simulacrum thing works everywhere.

I hope it does work everywhere because if it does, the Necromancer specialization just got a lot more interesting.

Not sure about SP as I've yet to bother crafting anything for companions, but a similar effect is achieved on MP with heal on Kill items. Pretty neat, even if it is probably an exploit. I like to make it lore-friendly in my head canon since I see no reason why a spirit controlling the body could not do whatever it is that healing potions/crafted items do to increase life force.

If I am not mistaken, the Necromancers heal on kill passive triggers this as well. Couple of times I have seen Dorian not die even though he was knocked out and thought it was a bug. I know he has no heal on hit or kill in his gear because I gave him material for more magic and for Walking Bomb on hit.

It's great if you die a lot.

Ah, so this is not a bug but a feature. Wonder why many hate Necromancers so much

Ah - this explains why Cole was resurrecting when his Mark of Death expired.

Fade-touched snoufleur skin is better than I thought. Seems like any time an ability lets you hit while you're KO'd, it resurrects you.

I wonder if it triggers off of poison? Or bees?

Because their skills are based on DoTs rather than instant gratification on damage. Also, their Walking Bomb does not do the listed damage. Personally, I love necromancers. Even with a weakened Walking Bomb it is still quite strong.

Yeah, it is rather sad that RPGs now have turned into a DPS horserace.

I personally like Necromancer specialization because of its versatility. It has DoT, decent damage, pets (when they work), crowd control, time manipulation, draining and lichdom.
