I know you can unlock new armor schematics by crafting the ones you already have, but that doesn't seem to work for the weapon schematics.  I have crafted a number of tier one and two weapon mods, but have no idea how to unlock better ones.

as of this time, we are stuck with the schematics that we have.

Thanks for the info.  Adding crappy tier one or two mods to high level rare or unique weapons sucks though.  Even with tier 3 materials I can't seem to craft a decent weapon mod.
