If I could only recommend one show I'd go with a show called The Killing. It's basically a cop drama where the cases extend for longer than an episode. While the show had its ups and downs, the characters are consistently enjoyable and the stories are very engaging.
House of Cards
Hey Reload... or Mike... whatever.
I brought you a present for your Netflix binges:
La-la-la-la
Check out Marco Polo. It's pretty good.
Twin Peaks
Arrested Development
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
I've mostly been using HBO Nordic lately, but I do know at least 3 shows on Netflix that are worth a watch.
Better Call Saul -- Even if you haven't watched Breaking Bad, this pre-sequel still carries that raw human-leveled dark sense of humor its predecessor series has. It's a definite recommendation. There are only 2 episodes so far but I advice to follow its development
House of Cards - Much like the danish-political-drama Borgen, it wallows in the modern political scene of power struggles, nosy journalists and human selfishness. That's why so it damn intriguing though. Kevin Spacey is a natural at playing morally questionable characters
Twin Peaks - Excellent murder mystery. Twin Peaks was essentially one of those shows that started the whole fad for murder mystery, but there's never been a show, or even a film quite like it, mostly because most people aren't quite like David Lynch. His adoration for the surrealistic is all well-established in his movie line-up but Twin Peaks is Lynch at his peak. If you like a good murder mystery, and you can tolerate when it gets a bit weird and almost.. meditative.. then you'll most likely love it.
I have a few films in mind but I don't think a few simple words could do those justice, so I'll just refrain from now as I assume it's mostly tv-shows we are talking here.
Check out Marco Polo. It's pretty good.
