The Reaver tears into an enemy, consuming its life force to heal the Reaver.

Just how common is this damn ability that no one seems to comment on Hawke, like, in the middle of a sword fight, just biting into people and sucking out their life force?

Also, Hawke has been using this in the Deep Roads Expedition against Darkspawn and Demons. Shouldn't Hawke get the Blight (or Hepatitis) or something?

Hawke doesn't literally bite people. It's a quasi-magical attack. It's more like Shao Kahn sucking the soul out of his victims, albeit much less fatal.

Well that just sucks the joy out of the whole ability. Looks like the bared teeth icon, and the descriptions of "devour" and "consume" are metaphorical. Still, tearing into enemies with one's clawed gauntlet and... um... tractor beaming(?) in their blood should turn some heads. This ability needs to show up in one of the novels.
