All the animations in DAO sucked, since the engine was old and also sucked, that is not the class's fault. I really hate the lame argument "you just didn't play / do that right", but here in this case it is fitting. If you honestly think the DW warrior sucked, you didn't play him right. On nightmare he wasn't the easiest to build and yes, usable DW abilities were kinda meh, but he was strong because of his autoattack dps to the point he didn't even have to use the abilities much (the 2 aoe ones were useful though).

He sucked relative to most other classes. I finished the game with him but then again you could finish the game with any class no matter how gimped you tried to make them.

Again, he sucked relative to most other classes because you probably didn't play him right. Not to question your gaming skillz or anything, when something does not appeal to me, I too am not going to great lengths to be perfect at it. But if you built the DW warrior right, he was the best single target dps in DAO and one of the 2 bests single target dps subclasses in DAO:A (the second was warrior archer). Not just on paper, but in the actual game as well. A mage could clear the game quicker than anybody just by nuking all the things with aoe spells, but you had to build your group around him (with 2 other mages and Shale).

Yeah, DAO was not that difficult once you got the hang of it, although I wouldn't wanna go through the game as a weapon and shield warrior with Alistair, Sten and Dog.

I always try to balance my teams out when I did play. Two range two melee dps. Aside from my DW, I used Allistair as Shield, Morrigan as mage and Leliana as archer.

I honestly find for someone to just say the class sucked is idiotic. That guy has a right to his opinion, but I agree the class doesn't suck at all and it tears enemies up.

I really missed it in DA2, but with it going back to being more like DAO I was hoping it would come back :(

I would love to play a DW warrior. However I would not want it to be like DA:O where both warriors and rogues shared the same DW abilities, as this leads to overlap and a loss of class variety and distinctiveness. Instead, I would want a new DW tree specifically for the warrior that has dual wepaon abilities that fit how the warrior plays. If there's only going to be one DW ability tree, then I would prefer they kept it to be rogue only as it is now, as the abilties can thus be properly integrated with the class instead of having to be generic enough to be useable by both rogues and warriors.

My fav team in DAO was Alistair tank, Leliana archer or two daggers, Wynne healer / buffer (haste being the most important spell), human noble DW warrior. It was an ideal party for my paragon style of play, as well as for combat efficiency (hasted auto-attackers were just insane). In DAO:A it was my DW spirit warrior "tanking" (just charging ahead, since you didn't need to tank anything there with your 100% evasion and that awesome black Sentinel armor set), Justice spirit warrior archer, Sigrun archer, Velanna healer / buffer / debuffer (the companions that would die if I left them defending the Keep).

Well there are some clear cases when a class suck (or at least is weak compared to others) no matter how well you play it. In DAO it was two-handed warrior (and dog :D ), in DAI it is for example rogue artificer (in MP katari).
