I never noticed this, but this menu which also brings up the quickcast, has these two options as well. Was that the case in the OC? Could I change companions at any time even if not in the Sunken Flagon, or was it disabled? Or could I travel anywhere I wanted regardless how far away from the world map transition, just by bringing up the world map? If disabled, how do we do that?

that's controlled by playermenu_popup.xml, methinks.

each of the official campaigns has a custom version, in their Campaign/UI folders

Ah, good. I found them. The campaign specific ones have nothing in that field, but the general one in the NWN2/UI folder does specify world map and party roster. How does one disable something in an xml, and would that xml work from my campaign folder?

just remove all the stuff between

<UIButton ..
</UIButton>

(inclusive) & things disappear. Or use
<!-- .... -->
to disable.

looks like it works from campaign folder or any subfolder thereof.

If you really want to get into xml editing, i suggest getting Charlie's XML Conformer, and using a syntax highlighting editor (probly notepad++ eg.).

I never tried the world map option, but yes, when I originally played through the OC, I was able to adjust my party through the player menu.  I used it to summon Casavir to wherever I was standing, load him up with loot I couldn't carry, and dismiss him again.

I may have been using a mod that used the latest version of the player menu XML...

I wouldn't like to get into xml, had already trouble to learn the basics of scripting :).

I see the xml in the OC folder has the world map and party roster sections removed. I guess if I drop a copy of this in my campaign it should work, and maybe Tchos had indeed a mod on it. Will see how testing goes.
