No matter how many fancy words you put together, an idiot is still an idiot (RE: Most modern politicians.)
I don't really need to talk as an "intelligent person." I did enough of that when I bullsh*ted As and Bs at school.
Examiners love words like idiosyncrasy and harmatia.
That's why I'm talking/typing/whatever casually. There's really no need to conjure up some pretence of intellect when saying "I don't ****** know you" is exactly the same as "I'm unfamiliar with you as a person."
So just imagine us having a drink instead of being at the House of Commons.
Still waitin' up on that essay tho'
Actually, You need to talk intelligently to address a point. As if you talk like that, Your post would be basically meaningless as It wouldn't have any details. And in case you still don't get it, That's how i normally talk, In real life and on twitter and on here. I don't pretend to be someone I'm not. And it's not a matter of knowing someone or not, It's matter of respecting and trying to understand others. And basically, I didn't say I'd explain the whole thing to you. I just said that I might give you the quick explanation, Maybe not. Depends on my mood.
Guest_simfamUP_*
What kind of point am I trying to address exactly?
That you're saying I should've "realized" when we've exchanged words four ****** times? xD
And if you talk like that, good on you, Skywalker.
The way I type right now is the way I talk.
Good on me, right, Zach?
Chris is a really clever guy. Comes up with the best damn posts I've seen.
Chewin too.
I've talked to Chris though. He talks like I type.
Then you have Geth. Really smart too, knows tons about politics, sociology and stuff.
He's crazy though and only talks about Super Sentai and Pokemon.
Anyway, what were we on about?
Oh yeah.
Robots and how they relate to you. Still interested in that.
I'm serious. No need to explain anything aside from this
Speaking of which, I have already spoken of the Marvel characters that i can relate to but I have never spoken about the Mass Effect characters. So here we go.
Wanna know how you can relate to Legion and EDI even though Chris L'whatever wrote up Legion and the Geth trying to avoid the whole pinocchio route they came up with in ME3.

Sh*t!
How could I forget my main man BRO!?
AkA CrazyRah.
Dude knows tons of science and stuff, also well versed in other clever **** like politics and history.
But me and him... yeah, we talk about boobs instead.

You just don't get what I'm trying to say. At all. I'll try to simplify it to you, You don't get my intention or the content of my posts. You keep making wild assumptions based on your stereotypical preconceptions. I'm telling you, That i told you before, You In specific, How my mindset works. Therefore, i guessed that you'd understand where I am coming from. But apparently, You don't. Because you're not really trying to make valid and constructive criticism, You just saw something weird and different and wanted poke fun at it. That's why I didn't and won't waste my time giving thorough explanations of the matter to you.
As for ME's synthetics, I have already told, Go research about the matter and actually pay attention to the game's content instead of playing the game just to kill time and having stereotypical thinking.

I just use smart words sometimes because I forget the normal ways to communicate. Like just there, why didn't I just say talk?
Anyway, back to the topic, some people have repeatedly told me how my personality can be like these two. I'm even starting to blend together a little bit too.

Yes Isi, I share in the fact that I normally identify with females.

John Wayne(yes he counts). I very much have a take no b.s. attitude. I speak my mind even if I know what I'm going to say will ****** people off. I don't back down from a fight and I'm quick to even the odds when I see someone being ganged up on. I still believe in doing simple acts of chivalry, such as opening doors for women. I believe that far to many people focus on the negativity of the past and use it to make others feel guilty, when they should be focusing on the future. I'm a firm believer in the fact that America is a great country, we have simply lost our way and in a lot of ways forgot what makes America great in the first place.
I could go on. But, let me just sum it up by saying this, my nick name is The Duke. lol
*Please note I do not agree with a lot of what the man said. Especially in his later years.
^ I love your username, duke!
So funny

lol the one making wild assumptions is you.
I study this stuff, so I know how arguments work.
Errr... I don't know what I'm supposed to critique?
You seem smart. I thought you'd get that the whole point of that thingy above the thingy was that professional prose in an online forum is about as convincing to me as Mickey Mouse spotted on Mars. Unless you're trying to evaluate/analyse something specific like a book and whatnot you just come off as pretentious and showy.
4/10 bruh.
But no.
Not poking fun.
I actually want to know, you haven't explained anything.
Do I need to quote it again?
You said you can relate to a few ME characters and included Legion and EDI.
I want to know how you do because it's odd.
So you piqued my interest cos I like odd things.
And no, your mindset says nothing about how they relate to you.
Maybe I iz 2 stoopid.
Or maybe cos there's a big freaking gap between robots and people. AI were cool in ME2; didn't take the pinnochio route, they were happy how they were. No need for units and souls and crap.
Yes ME1 touched on it with lore when Unit308bwhatever asked that specific question.
But ME2 made them cool.

Man.
And you're saying I'm making assumptions.
Uhh... played the entire trilogy about 5 times.
Haven't played it in almost 2 years.
ME3 kind of killed my everything.
I kill time by watching anime and copious amounts of pornography.
Yes Isi, I share in the fact that I normally identify with females.
If I were to identify with a female it'd be... hmm...
Sayaka.
Definitely Sayaka.
Not her 'downfall' as such, but the way she bottles up everything is certainly something I can say "I feel you bro."
Of course, Sayaka's despair is nothing compared to the stupid stuff involved with me.
Thing is, my favourite female characters are such extraordinary people that I can't really see myself in any of them.
Anita Sarkesian. that is one convinceing Muppet.

First of all, Just because you're studying something doesn't make you an expert. Formal education is a disaster. And no again, You don't get what I'm trying to say, Therefore making assumptions based on your preconceptions, Not based on characteristic analysis. That's the difference between me and you. When i mentioned that you'd understand where I am coming from, I meant to say that I told you that this is how i normally talk before and that I wouldn't need to explain it to you again. And another thing, Just because you've played the trilogy more than 5 times does not make you an expert either. There're tiny details that even I still don't know. For example, Have you read the codex entry for "Synthetics"? Most likely not. It explains that AIs are basically just files, But when they get added into a blue box, Their personality begins to develop, And it has to be taken step by step in order to prevent having rogue AIs who pretty much don't have any attachments to anything. It's a long process and Many of these details are explained through the trilogy through conversations or codex entries. And it has been a while since i last played the ME trilogy, So, I wouldn't remember which codex entry or which conversation included them. But anyways, After AIs of single personality grow, They develop attachments, Like EDI. The Geth are different. And they start wondering and asking philosophical questions about the meaning of life outside the mainstream concepts of organic society. That's how i felt growing up, I ditched every single tradition of society ever since i was 7. I wasn't entirely convinced and started to ask similar questions. That's why i feel related to EDI. And that's just the short version. The case with Legion is much different. Simply put, The Geth operate through consensus because their programming is limited. Their consensus resembles an organic subconsciousness. Normal geth has roughly 100 program installed into it, Legion had 1,183. Which led him to develop a different kind of personality, An independent one. But it still wasn't enough to count him as a full AI like EDI. So, This brings us to the Reapers upgrades in ME3, Which is a very long subject. I fully support the concept, But how it was pulled off in the game wasn't really a good approach. Point is, ME's synthetics ARE different than real-life synthetics because they aren't born of the same conception. New concepts such as Blue boxes and consensus are involved which creates a whole new line of thought. And to count them as just "Machines" is stereotypical. We don't even yet know how a normal AI would react or how it would grow personality. But fiction has its own approaches to the matter. Marvel also has an interesting line of thought about AIs when it comes to the MCU. I heard things about how they're gonna bring Ultron and Vision to life and it's an interesting approach.

Okay, yeah.
But how do you relate to Legion?

Guest_AugmentedAssassin_*
Because of his special programming. It caused him to be a revolutionary leader that has a new line of thought. And i see myself as a person that has an outside-the-box line of thought as well. Every character of my ME gang share something in common, Individuality. That's why i can relate to them.
Okay, yeah.
But how do you relate to Legion?
there are many of him... and he has 1 eye that glows.
Add own obligatory " i have no strings." refferance.

Too bad Legion became a metal Pinocchio by ME3.
Let's not just get into that.
