I am a huge fan of the first two DA installments (yes, I am also a fan of DA II), but I am finding it difficult to get into DA:I. I played it for about 5 hours now, but the game just doesn't seem to drag me in the way the other two did.
Now, the story and the setting seem to be ok, but the fights feel really really akward to me to a point that I don't want to do them. Also picking up things is a pain for me. I do think that I have a severe problem with how the controls are designed in this game, as nothing about controling my character feels natural or fluid, it is just a pain. Now, I'm playing on PC and I have the nagging feeling that the controls have been designed with a console controler in mind.
As I have at least one more game in my backlog that might be much more fun with a controler instead of mouse+kb, I'm thinking about getting a XBOX controler hooked to my PC. Before spending my money, I would like to get some feedback if
- this setup would even work with DA:I (i.e. PC + console controler)
- this might indeed solve my gripes with the controls
Does anybody have some experience to be shared?
