I'm pretty sure you said you were never coming back when BioWare was all set to purge off-topic groups.

Nope, I never said that.
I did say that if they deleted the groups that I'd end up leaving (and for a time, I did) but they never deleted the groups. I received the notice that one of them was to be deleted, and I sent a PM back to the mods that basically politely asked them not to delete it, and they agreed not to. I didn't post about it in the forums, because... why would I?
