And try explaining being genderless to someone - oh boy. Not all asexuals are genderless but, there are a few like me, regardless of what my body looks like, I don't consider myself as even having a gender. I don't act male or female, I'm just a human, I cook, hunt, fish, sew, do needle work, read, repair my trucks, mow the lawn, soak in a bubble bath... normal week for me.
Living in the south, you'd be surprised how many people that sort of week totally confuses. Apparently I do things only men should do and things only women should do. *shrug* I'm me, isn't that enough? Do I have to be a man or a woman? Do I have to be interested in sex? Why? I'm happy as I am, let me me be me.
Yes, gender roles are annoying. I think as a society we should loosen up when it comes to gender roles, and just let people be themselves, even if what they do "contradicts" their physical gender. Seriously, if you're not harming anyone, what does it matter whether you like to cook AND repair vehicles? It shouldn't be an issue.
On another note, I've been playing a lot of Inquisition (just got to Skyhold) and I'm just wondering whether you'd know when you're entering a relationship with one of the characters. Would it be obvious?
