Thank God. Once we get rid of the PC gamers, we can make this series console-exclusive.

@coldfirenj, I get that, there are pressures on all of us and you want a game that runs well for your money? tell me what are your PC specs and what settings are you running it at?

EA/Bioware I'm sorry but our relationship is over. The state in which the PC version was released to public, and the issues that remain (and are also unaddressed) is completely unaccaptable. frankly, you should be ashamed. Can't say that I or anyone would expect anything better from EA but it is sad to see Bioware, a once great developer, reduced to their level.

Let me start by saying I literally counted my pennies saving for this game. Just before release I'd lost my cushy job in IT.. had to take a low wage temp position.. and it took months for me to save away to purchase DA Inquisition. Upon installing the game I was just flummoxed and appauled at the broken PC controls. Really the game was unplayable at launch.

While the interface issues have been largly remedied the performance problems have not. I'm a trained engineer; my machine that I'd built a few years back has passed all relevant stress tests. No other games have any issues that are comparable to those found in this game. Multiple playthroughs of crysis and other intensive games never run into any trouble. Yet this game randomly crashes in places like redcliff for no apparent reason whatsoever. Autosaves get corrupted and hours of progress is lost. Despite this being reported by a large number of players (with various PC setups) you say.. nothing.

Like many I've been patient because the game has so much potential. The storywriters, art directors and those in change of the RPG mechanics.. all did their jobs spectacularly. But the deafening silence regarding the technical issues with the game is completely unacceptable. It took weeks after release for you to produce a game that could be considered "playable" on the PC. And now that you've achieved that you're content enough to wash your hands clean of the issues that remain.

I know you're laughing all the way to the bank but you won't see another hard earned dollar for me no matter what you release. I swear it on the makers stone.

Bye!

I've seen this same thing repeated with DA2 and ME3 and it will happen for DA4.

Oh and I play on PC. Game works perfectly fine for me.

Can we please stop being a jerk.  NOT ALL PC GAMERS have had issues. I play it on PC and have had no issues.

And I got news for you....PC Gamers will NEVER die out.

I had my gripes with both games but they were playable.. if I could achive just that with DAI I would be happy. Really don't mean to sound like an ass but it is frusterating when you have all the resources/money that EA has and there is no communication regarding issues that affect a good number of customers. @arbiter I am running MSI Mpower M77 motherboard, a GTX 570 1980x1080 resolution (graphics between medium and high), and a 3770k. Ram I can't quite recall but I know it passes memtest. Windowed mode did help the crashing early on but is no help in Redcliff.

PC,360 and PS3 were screwed by this.. If your gonna release a game for next gen fine Ok. But if your also intending to release it for Old gen/PC then it should be just as polished.

If you're gonna do something do it right or don't do it at all.

At somepoint they patched it. When the game came out you couldn't look up or down.. it was nauseating

It's really strange that most PC gamers have no playability issues (just minor bugs), and some PC players can't play the game at all due to crashes and such. I like the game so far, but BioWare was wrong to release it before testing on all systems thoroughly. They have alienated a lot of players.

Actually DA2 received far more rage than Inquisition

I'm wondering how many people use Win 7 vs. Win 8. There seems to be something screwy going on here with the OS.

Am thankful that my medium rig has weathered much of these Tach storms myself.

@ OP - Hope you get a fix soon.

While i've had very few issues on the technical side myself, sorry to see you and so many others are going through that.  I spared no expense when I put together my custom PC a year ago for the next gen games such as DAI, TW3 and SoM.  Have had very few bugs and crashes a result of going all out on hardware.

Same here I had my latest PC build set around matching what the new consoles can do as well and I haven't had any problem with any of the games yet and that includes Inquisition. The only issues I had were to do with the actual game itself like for example it didn't autopause when I went into combat mode like in the earlier games but I managed to adapt to that anyway and will use those tactics again in my next run. But I managed to adapt to them it did mean that the first half of my first playthrough would likely be compromised but then I knew it would likely be anyway while I got used to the way the new DA played. I know I can and will do better in my next one. As I always use my first playthrough of a game as a learning experience

@Rizilliant, I was going to discuss the point you raised, but even a cursory look at your profile and signature implys that reasoning with you is pointless.

suffice to say that what you point out is more a blanket script given to customer call centre workers, who have next to no involvement with the game at all.

p.s. you say 3 months, but they've had what 2 since launch to work on these as they only got back in January after the holidays, and they had 2 patches out before then so I'm not worried there.

What was the release date? Certainly not 60 days ago..

And yes, they absolutely do always make the same response to problems..  "were aware of the issue. Were working diligently on a fix.. We have no timeframe at this time.. Well let you know when we do".. Goto any EA forum from the last 5yrs, and see for yourself.. I recall Kingdoms of Amalur being told constantly them fixes were coming.. Battlefield 3 i gave up waiting at 6months...Never did have crosshairs in multiplayer (which are kindve important in a shooter, no?)..

Go ahead.. Check any game forum actually.. Not just Bioware.. I guarantee youll see that exact same statement in every, single, one!

PS: my disdain for EA stems from game after game of failures to launch, incomplete releases, lies, horrible custoemr service, and many other reason anyone whos not lived uder a rock could give about EA!

Oh.. I see the Fab 5 have arrived! Yay, we can start name calling now!  "Your game works fine, cuz mine duz"

You really should take a step back and realize what you are saying.

"I don't have that problem, don't complain about it at all."

Arrogance or sheer disrespect I just sigh every time you respond to some poor angry persons post with these responses that does NOTHING for the thread aside from derail. Maybe you should instead try asking if they have done X or Y or offer "I don't have this problem" and remove that "Don't complain about it at all" attitude when posting.

There is so much self-righteousness in this OP words fail me.

you are aware that they are working on these issues right now?

and that fixing them could take a long time? because in fixing one bug, you may create 10 more?

Telling people who have worked for years on this project and poured their hearts and souls into this game that they should be ashamed is so unbelievably disingenuous. You OP are the one who should be ashamed of your inability to simply accept that there are bugs, and that bioware is working very hard to fix them. When you can code better than them, come back here, until then, grow up and swallow your ego.

Bioware/EA should not have released this beta with all its flaws, bugs and glitches. They knew about all the crap that is now bugging a big lot of the DA-gaming community. So do not even try to convince me they are doing a great job on fixing things. They should have done that great job BEFORE releasing it. I still feel like being robbed from around $ 85,-.

Next time i buy something from Bioware it's going to be second hand (whatever that may be -_- ). From second hand it can be expected that it may have flaws. If i buy something new i don't want it to be as buggy and flawed as DA:I was and still is.
PERIOD!

And to stay on-topic: I agree with OP. I am self employed in small construction business and if i deliver a kitchen/bathroom or whatever 'product' the similar way Bioware does now, i would have been out of jobs a long time ago. No matter how many times i will return to a customer to fix things i did wrong, i'll lose respect and credibility after the first, but surely after the second time i need to go back. And yes, i should be ashamed of myself then.
Do your job right, or go do something else.

Unfortunately for the consumers, what happens is that they now develop for consoles, and in this case, they are based on AMD graphics cards, which then are ported over to PC. They develop for console, and then hand pc the product. They assume everything will work out until launch day, lots of problems (QA team probably warned them of these problems) and the amount of errors they found were 'acceptable' to EA.

Modding would have helped alleviate the errors we now have but the tools modders currently have for DAI are lacking from what I saw.

Then why are you still buying EA games? If everyone who hated their games stopped buying them, things would change.

But EA knows, that most of you will jump up and down swearing never to buy another EA game. And in 6 months you'll buy the next pre-order. You'll rationalize it, of course: "But this time it's different Blah-Blah house in Austin is doing the game. They're good". Then it's released and here we are again.

So stop bitching. Play, don't play. EA doesn't care. You'll be right here bitching when the next game is released.

Yeah? And what about me? No problem with controls. No bugs at all. Still complain. Game is dumbed down and lost everything that made me happy. The only joy I have in DAI is one new thing, crafting. There is nothing barely resembling Dragon Age or Bioware in this abomination.

While things would change if we stopped buy EA games, the forums are very aggressive as it is without the profanity and snotty attitude.

The crashing issue is incredibly annoying but I'm not having the other issues. I guess I'm lucky? Heh. I still absolutely (♡˙︶˙♡)love the game so unfortunately I won't be joining the "hate BioWare" bandwagon.
