I loved venturing into the deep roads B)

Yeah, the first time. Just like the Fade was fun the first time.

After that though.

Why's everyone saying the story is so short?

Its definetly not shorter than DA:O. And that story was stretched immensely by boring stuff like the Fade and the Deep Roads.

Three or four people on BSN isn't everyone  :P

The fade was the worst. I wouldn't have been able to get through multiple playthroughs without the Skip the Fade mod.

The Deep Roads was only somewhat better, but fortunately I was able to push through it, because skipping it is rather harder.

and DA:I wasn't stretched ? have we played the same game?
(power system forces you to do those boring fetch quests)

I would rather go to the Deep Roads than collect freaking ram meat but hey thats just me..

I liked what we got in with the story (apart from the ending) but saying it isn't short is just lying

Now you're assuming I'm calling all the side stuff 'story'.

Which I don't. Or do you think the Deep Roads or the Fade were sidequest in DA:O?

How the *bleep* you equate the ram meat quest to Deep Roads is beyond me.

You can choose not to do the ram meat. If you're on anything but a PC, you have to do the Deep Roads. The analogy is completely erroneous.

No seriously, I like venturing into the deep roads. Always thought the expedition in DA2 was too short, seemed like I had just started the expedition and then I was back in Kirkwall...

If there's anything wrong with DAI it's that the power costs are ridiculously negligible to the point of making the gating almost pointless from a gameplay perspective.

Let's not throw that around.

I actually like the Deep Roads. What I didn't like in DAO is that most of it were side caverns. I love Bownammar though. DA2's looked nicer and had more interesting fights, but was short I agree.

Yea I was in awe during my first PT. I have a thing for long lost civilizations, cities, and structures.

You can make the power costs by focusing on the zone quests, setting camps, closing rifts, slaying dragons, companion quests, as well as conveniently gain them from previous main quests and their subplots.

Doing the occasional side quest on the way wouldn't kill you either.

Oh you can literally buy power too.

Now if you're still bothered by all that, then I wonder how you managed to stick it out in any previous game.

I finished the game with 300 ish power several times already. That's just ridiculous lol.

Me too.  Which is why I seem to be the only person on the planet who really liked the Hissing Wastes.

I just did the 'boring' side mission where I have to find a farmer's buffalo or Mark Ruffalo or some kinda of hairy beast named barfallo or some such. Anyway, that mission was AWESOME....

Lets be honest, some of the missions are easily skippable.

You're definitely not. In fact from reading several blogs, forums, and even BSN, it's many people's favorite zone or at least in the top 3.

Please tell me you used the drufallo as a tank for the rift on the way :P

I seriously rofl'd when I figured out that was the thinly veiled point of the quest.

I think the final mission being so short leaves an impression.

You can do enough quests in the Hinterlands to help the people and get all the agents and theres still ALOT left you don't have to do.

Its not that hard to do it, once you know your way around.
