If you mean Sera, which would make sense given the thread, you'd be right, but only a little bit. Actually, when I wrote that, I was mainly thinking of Josephine.
She's a racist and has the morality of a 5 year old. At least Vivienne opinion and stance makes sense, Sera is just annoying and childish. 3 games in and we still don't have a female elf companion that isn't crazy.

I'm sorry, but when does she ever show outright racism? She hates nobility, but the fact that most noblemen and women are human is mere coincidence, given the lore.
Why can't Sera fans just accept that many players hate Sera?
I'm pretty sure Bioware expected this she is the only companion you can kick out at any time
so accept it and move on folks because the sera hate isn't going anywhere (I hate her too btw)
The thing I can't accept, is no the hatred of Sera, rather the ignorance of players who just can't see a character for what they are, and instead point out their flaws, or the players' own issues (whatever those may be).

It's tough to really see if she is. She hates the Dalish pretty fiercely, but her attitude towards other city elves is basically unexamined so it's hard to seperate it from an ideological opposition.

It's not humans she's racist about but other elves. She whines about other elves like no tomorrow and says she hopes my dalish Inquisitor isn't too "elfy". Also she shrinks nobles and commoners into a black and white morality and acts like Commoner = GOOD! and Noble = BAD!
Sera is the only Character i really liked out of all the companions..

Wished we could have the option of leaving Sera in the Fade instead of Loghain or Hawke or Alistair or Stroud. That would have been a lot better.

It would've been hilarious if the Inquisitor can just pick anyone, and then the companion would just say no, and there would be nothing you could do about it.
Inquisitor: Sera! Hold off the demon while we make our escape!

Because in her mind people are people, so stuff the Dalish for basing their entire culture on staying separate from the rest of the civilized world.
I think one of Sera's strongest desires is being accepted for who she is and the Dalish would never do this for her (in spite of being an elf) since she doesn't act/believe as they believe a proper elf should. She probably resents that most expect her to act this way.

She's annoying but you never have to talk to her or even recruit her so I didn't mind.
She is the only one who can rattle Solas so for that reason alone I cannot truly hate her and would usually recruit her. She had one particularly epic moment of banter between Solas and I forgot if it was IB or Blackwall, it was the sex joke, and had me in stitches.

Elves are stuck up in the past and their superiority complex, they are also not the most culturally tolerant people, like a little members only clique, I can see why Sera would be against that.
I have no problem with not liking the dalish, but I don't like people who default to being vitriolic to someone based on their culture. You don't have to be dismissive or cruel to someone just because they have different values than you do.
If you can fault the dalish for not being culturally tolerant, I think it's also fair to fault Sera for it.

You can fault anyone and everyone for any number of things.
Anyone who likes Sera enough to spend time with her shouldn't be baffled by this. It's incredibly hard to like her. She's pretty stupid, emotionally unstable, indecent, cosmopolitically inexperienced, and throws around the unfiltered, misinterpreted predjudice a five year old picks up from eavesdropping on their parents.
My take is, that many subconsicously expect all characters to make sense. They expect them to have a thought-through agenda to their possible "unpleasantries" & nasty habbits and whatnot, or otherwise they will not accept them as "proper characters you are not supposed to love" on the spot, but rather just badly written ones. For the same reason IMO many people were repulsed by Morrigan and confused by all the mystique to her being an evil witch, instead of just accepting that, underneath all this, she was simply intended to be emotionally immature.
Personally, I love Sera. My male Inquisitor has a very unique relationship to her, which is like tutoring an adolescent teenager. Except unlike Tali'Zorah, not everything she says & does is necessarily cute. But that makes the moments where she actual proves to be "better" after all, ever so valuable.
P.S.: Also she randomly makes and laughs about her own fart jokes whilst wandering through the desert. In a game where every character insists on being mysterious and dramatic, that also helped.
I'll admit the reason I hate her is because she reminds me too much of a step son and a step daughter I have major problems with. Nice people but NO BRAINS, no desire to do for themselves, whine fest, give me, give me, Oh it's too hard, I can't, meh, good enough. And neither of them will ever be anything but welfare moochers because they won't try, they choose to remain ignorant and under educated, chose not to make any effort yet want to take, take take form anyone doing better than they are and whine that they have nothing.
One example: I bought a new computer for my partner. Both of them. "Oh, I need to clear off a place for your old one." Not "Are you selling or keeping your old computer? Can I buy it?" Oh no they just assumed I'd hand it to them FREE for no reason other than I happen to have more than they do because I earned it and, I work and, use my brain to maintain the lifestyle I want and, have the finer things in life. Yes, I can afford the black truffle I just ordered for Sunday's dinner, I have the 5 grand+ gaming rig, I bought my partner a 3 grand rig because it was a 5 grand custom that someone ordered then, couldn't pick up. But is that a reason for those that refuse to learn or make any real effort to want to put me down, take from me? NO and, that's what I see Sera trying to do, take from nobles simply because they have more than she does because she refuses to learn and earn.
