Depends how detailed you want to go with the outfit, I once worked on a Stealth Suit Mk2 from New Vegas, had a soundboard for it and all, and had a Holorifle replica.

Wow.  I'm not sure I'm creative enough to do much beyond a blue boiler suit with some yellow trim!  It'd probably be pretty lamentable, and then I'd just chicken out and go as myself.  And then decide not to go at all.  Sigh... :/

Oh, I see.  I think.  So the answer is, yes, I did miss something.  How entirely unusual for me.

 

I still think that cosplay options are a bit limited for lardy-arsed fortysomethings like me.  Bummer.
