Can't hack the first datapad, I can move the cursor in the mini game with my move keys, but none of my keys allow me to "select" the code I highlight. I have tried the use key and clicking, and even resetting defaults and trying everything I can think of.

Good question. I have exactly the same problem.
If someone could explain in specific, which button I must press, once I'm over the "desired" segment, I'd be pleased.

BTW, since some hours I can't find the "search"-button. Is it disabled, again?

Spacebar, at least that works for me.. but that said, on my first hack i basically tried all keys through because i had the same problem, kinda funny that of all the pointless tutorials, this one would actually be a important part, to .. you know.. mention in a tutorial ;p



Arrow keys and spacebar works for me so yeah ;p

Strange, I mapped another key for this and used it all the time, but it seems only to work with SPACE.

Hell I have tried space bar and every key that I thought and everthing else , now I I am just getting so pissed that I will have to find a hach or something ,I am not going to have this mind F*** al the way thru the game,

Hate suduko , math puzzles , love crosswords but more than this absolutlely detest the timer thing,

No consideration for people who are challenged in ways that will cause this angst to manifest sheer rage, utter frustration

For the PC tap the spacebar to select the segment of code.

Seems that the space bar has many uses, its not explained.
