Has any staff members at Bioware shown that they're listening to fan feedback in the past few months?

you deserved it .

Not really seeing the logic in this statement.

And man, Gaider doesn't sound too happy at all.  I can practically feel his exasperated contempt for us through those two posts alone.

For the record, I really couldn't care less what they do in a single player game.  use an exploit, mod it, whatever.  Knock yourselves out.  What I find mind blowing is complaining about a company patching a bug in a game.  "Hey, we found this bug and we fixed it."  "how dare you!!"  Uh....

They didn't "find" anything
They, in a nutshell, did a copy pasta of the code from the previous 2 releases with full knowledge of it. The "fix" wasn't actually removing the code line but was to not allow you to even SELL your mats which further limits your "normal" ability to earn gold for rare schematics. It wasn't a fix at all. It was a handicap to EVERYBODY

Apologies. Fixed...

"Hey, we fixed a long standing multi-game issue"  "How dare you!"  Uh...

Fixing relatively helpful glitches doesn't mean ****. This doesn't change that Bioware obviously listens to their fans. They take our feedback seriously even if they don't come out and admit it.

The dupe glitch should never have been fixed though ... more important things to deal with.

But they didn't fix anything. They removed functionality.

It seems strange to me that I like to play this game as it is, and earn everything in game as it is. I must be a dumb ****.

Or this is an mmo forum where kids are crying about gold and what they don't have.

I am baffled, beyond belief.

From what I've seen, myself included is guilty, the lack of response and engagement is what causes the negative attitude on these forums.
Thank you for your vision, but there are many important questions that have been ignored for some time now. One I originally posed myself and has been repeated by others across many gaming forums and comment sections throughout the internet.
When this happens and there is no official response besides "we are not obligated to respond to you" people get upset, say things they regret, and generally turn to the dark side.

Thanks for reading

Then you weren't here during the issues with Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 when they tried to post and they were insulted or everything they said was picked apart and twisted.  I fully understand why they don't post here anymore for even if they avoid the threads that aren't like that people see the "BioWare Tag" and rush there to get "their issues fixed".

They tried to have an adult conversation with us and the responses they got from trying to have a conversation with us forced them to reconsider what is more productive with their time.  If we could be more civil here even just between ourselves you might see them return, but unless we are going to be civil I don't see why they would want to return.

So, behave ourselves and maybe, just maybe they'll love us again?
I'm still confused.
Is this simply a containment board?

I left the BSN shortly after DA2, the forums were horrible.

Only just came back before Inquisition, it is a lot better. How anyone could watch this place is also beyond me. I wouldn't have the patience it would be locked down within a week.

Those that do must have the patience of saints.

It has to do with a lot more then simply behaving ourselves, we have to start to respect one another opinions even if we don't agree with them, but from what I have been seeing here since Dragon Age 2 (and even before then) I can't see anything really changing.

To me the BSN is its a place where people who want to talk about BioWare games can gather and communicate with one another, there is also the side benefit of having a developer get a summarized report of what is being said by us, but having direct communication is completely up the individual.

Does anyone know if they plan to fix the broken male elf arms? :( I don't think anyone thought those were useful.

The DA2 and ME3 aftermaths were so horrible, it truly boggled the mind to simply witness them and also established how ridiculously entitled and loud some fans had gotten.

And then, as now, it was that when there were those discussions with devs, whose job made requirements for them to be here, the discussion wasn't driven why some decisions were made, but rather that devs needed to apologize their decisions and explain why they would make such obviously insulting design choices. When during ME3 they tried to explain that they considered what they did as art and that had been their vision, the patronizing attitude here was just astonishing.

How far have we come? Even though it's better, the other thread on the lack of dev presence is basically demands how they need to come in and justify their decisions while wondering why it isn't happening.

Not sure if this helps, but a man called Conal Pierce talked directly to PC Gamers on that thread.  Six days ago.  That was how long my suspension was.WE ALL WANT ACTION.  We want results.  We're sick of this apathy - .that is just business.  Nope.  Business is delivering promised goods.  Guess what Boooware/EA did?

Perhaps what you really want is to be a Community Manager yourself?

I could see it being frustrating if you perceived the role of the forums as a way to "get a response" from the dev team about anything, whether it be a complaint or an attempt to engage the team in some kind of discussion about our future plans. That's really never been its role, but it seems you think it should be-- or at least be more active it engaging the folks who choose (for whatever reason) to hang around here? Fair enough. Personally, I'd see any kind of organized effort to engage in that discussion as too much effort for far too little gain, with most of the time likely to be spent correcting misunderstandings or policing...but that's not for me to decide. My only decision has been that I don't spend my free time doing it any longer.

Yes we need paid Bioware CM's here keeping the Developers and customers updated with latest bugs, exploits and issues with the game, we as customers need to be updated on Patches and DLC/expansions when and if they are finalized..

Anything less is poor service..

Why would they listen to if the feedbacks were just hypocrisies and plain negative. If I were one of them, I wouldn't. I have my life to live and have things to do. I can't afford to be drowned with some people's problems.

It isn't about people's problems, they have already gave us patches and are still working on things.

As I said before people want things ten minutes ago because they are special snowflakes and if they don't get what they want they throw tantrums.

I am going to not swear.

That's something they can only fix by giving the male elf a proper shoulder width for his height. Labour camp survivor will have that weird bend, even if they fix the rig.

Wrong.  Customers want their products to work.  They paid good money for this game.  Seventy Dollars is not a small price.  Consumers were sold a different bill of goods.  I didn't get what was promised.  You may say who cares?  You may have a game that works for you, but MANY others don't have YOUR own unique experience.

If someone has an issue is it not the right thing to make a thread in feedback and suggestions? or whichever thread.

Make a clear and concise post and leave it there?

So, if not YOU as an official Employee who's gonna come and give us some explanation as to what's being done to address our problems at the Old Gens thread? I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not talking about a whine thread or a "add more romance" thread, I am talking about a thread with 60,000 posts from people who have xbox360s and PS3s and can't play the game due to various TECHNICAL issues. If you don't feel like it's your job to address these issues then whose is it? The mailmans? The grocers? Whose? Seriously I don't see how you can choose to be condescending while at the same time not offer ANY explanation at all to people who have REAL grievances with your product. Some of us haven't been able to even play the disc since November, and all we get from you is..... silence. So, please I beg you tell me whose responsibility it is to address our problems, so we can address that person and stop bothering you.

Really? Is this you?
Why would the disc not even play?

Is that an issue with the disc media?

Surely that entitles folk to return/replace it?

This game was not broken at release. F*** I swear some critics get on my nerves with exaggeration, especially OP.
