Every time someone brings up "the burned game" an original FO fan gets a hemorrhoid

Haha, I'm not one of the rabid FO fans I promise. I was just making a point. Certain people have a hard time understanding why someone( like myself would like FO 3) more than FO: New Vegas.

I have to say I enjoyed Fallout 1 and 2 way more than Fallout 3 or NV... unfortunate for that trend to keep happening.

It's all about Tim Cain and his crazy ideas I guess.

@Kefka

I enjoy FO 1&2 as well. But, I'm also a bit of an explorer so the idea of exploring the Capital Wasteland was a big deal to me. I have over 500 hours with my Character Aiden in FO 3.

You didn't run out of things to do eventually? I would think you'd get to a point where you've discovered every building, computer, audio tape, etc. that there is to find before you would hit 500 hours. I'm not sure I've ever had a single FO3 playthrough where I've found everything, but I think I've explored at least 90-95% of the map across multiple playthroughs, and I wouldn't think there was enough there to last 500 hours.

Old Fallouts had great exploration.  Just cause you're not hiking trough huge areas of nothingness in a 1st person view... 2xIsdpm.gif

New Vegas was Fallout 3   (despite the shitty engine)

That Bethesda game was more of a spin off type deal.
