If they are counting 'clear' wins only (4 alive), it's going to be really-really annoying. It's also unclear how many community points a single victory grants (1 per team? 1 per character?).

Tooltip language can be tricky business, so nothing is certain until we have clarification from a developer, but based on the language, and past challenges, I believe this is what it means:
Each Operation Complete medal you receive will count towards the total for your personal challenge. How many others are in the game with you, and whether you are alive or dead at the time of completion won't make a difference, I don't think.
Each Operation Complete game will only count once towards the community goal's total. The number of players in the game, and how many of them are alive or dead at the time of completion won't make any difference. In other words, a solo will count towards the community goal for 1, as will a game in which there are 4 players who extract.
Of course, I don't actually know - I'm guessing that's how it will work, but hopefully we'll get clarification before long.

I would think that each person who completes and operation would count as 1 for the community. Hopefully Bioware can clear it up for us.

That's my thought exactly. Especially in case their calibrations calculations go wrong again.
We'll wait and see, I guess..

Two possibles I think:
- Everyone still standing gets a +1
- Everyone gets a +1 if at least one person is standing.

The way the ME3 operation worked was that only one of the team had to extract from Gold for the game to count.
I remember this vividly as it was the first Gold game I played (having only done two Silvers the Operation before, for the Silver extraction reward) and I was the only one to extract. But for that one everyone in the team got a chest if one extracted.

Sooo, do we know if there is a DAMP stream to go along with this, and if that's also early, then?

Almost all of my characters are level 15 or higher currently. Only exceptions are arcane warrior lvl 6 (ive only done two routine runs with it) and my assassin is lvl 14. Perfect timing for this event.

Bioware already has two strikes against them for very, very poorly thought out community challenges. They better get it right this time.
The second challenge was even worse than the first, the first challenge was just bad math. The second challenge demonstrated no common sense, where one person going down at the end would ruin the entire run.

I could argue that people playing poorly ruined the run and maybe failed to demonstrate common sense by playing recklessly at the end of a match. I think it was a fine challenge.

I agree, a challenge should be 'challenging' and the PS crowd did succeed.
Xbox One was less than 10% off the target.
People are going to enjoy different challenges differently,
the key is to keep mixing it up...

Naturally a weekend event using only base Inquisitor weapons has to be on the cards sometime
Complete 1 perilous with any team composition, but if anyone has any weapon other than an inquisition weapon the win is void.

That only applied to the personal challenge NOT the community one.

Am I missing something? The main menu doesn't have the usual announcement for a weekend event. Logged in multiplayer and wasn't greeted with the objective for this weekend event. Checked the Challenges and nothing here either...
Is there an event this weekend? Or is the title misleading since we are Friday the 13th? (title says it started on the 12th)

My bad, there was a rumour that it would start early, but that turned out to be a test server mistake.
So post had the 12th originally.
Date corrected in OP.
It's today (in about 3 hours).

Not everyone will find the same things fun, I agree.
I WANT to EARN what I win. Not just be handed it on a silver platter for TRYING hard.
PC had a chance to get the last challenge, unlike the week before which was simply impossible. We just did not make it. Close, but no cigar.

I must confess I played my share of ME3Mp's games under the influence.
Usually, wasting missiles to the sky or bombing team mates to let me pass. ![]()
