There there. I'm sorry Sera made you feel bad.
Thank you, Baymax is exaclty what I need.
P.S : watch Big Hero 6, it was really cool, for those of you whom haven't.

I take it you didn't know about her preferences before hand.
That said, it sounds interesting. I've never tried flirting with Sera as a male Inquisitor.
Do tell, what were the exact words?
I did not record myself, but someone else did.
He is what he/she have to show :
I am pretty sure the developers had something in mind which was much worse, but someone had the wisdom to change it to something - arguably - not as harsh.
This normally works for me.
This is amazing...
That's nothing, try pursuing a romance with Lace Harding...
You mean the dwarven scout? Well... She always seemed respectful to me. Maybe she does have a preference.
Anyway, this is what you can get out of romance in the game :
http://dragonage.wik...e_(Inquisition)
Don't ever play Solas' romance then...not many guys do, but don't say you weren't warned.
Also Sera is stupid...Cass' romance is the best for guys, though I hear Dorian isn't bad either.
Yes, it is what I did : Cassandra turned out to be a very interesting character.
When I cleared Dragon Age II, I thought Cassandra was going to hunt me down/try to kill me, as she is always so inquisitive. But turns out she is one of the few whom ACTUALLY respects me there. I really appreciated her trust and support.
It looks like Cassandra and Josephine are the only women there whom have any respect for you, even though you are THE inquisitor.
That makes you depress? Try romance her with a Dalish.
It's exactly what I did... *sniff*
It was so depressing I deleted the character and started over with a human.
Thanks a lot, Sera.
The best way to know you're making the right decision in any given situation is if Sera disapproves.
Aww, come now. Don't take it personally. I'm sure she didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I suggest rolling a female if you want to get into the she-elf's pantaloons that badly. Two chicks = hot. Or hey, romance Cass. Cass also = hot.
It is what I did.
Also, I am trying hard to make sure EVERY decision I make is being disapproved by her. Unfortunately, it's hard to get a companion to get on your bad side in this game.
There should've been some option to backstabb, punish or something like that.
Allow me to make a sweeping generalisation about men. Subtly can sometimes be lost on them and politely declining can be mistaken for playing hard to get. Maybe Sera has tried the "sorry I only like women" approach before only to be met by a defiant look that says "challenge accepted".
[Disclaimer: as stated above this comment is a generalisation and is not representative of my opinion of all men]
To be honest I think a polite rejection can be worse. Cassandra giving my female Trevelyan (sp?) the can we just be friends talk was harsh even though it was completely civil. (I knew she was straight but my inquisitor didn't and I'm a fan of unrequited love stories.)
She is actually a lesbian.
It is strange how the game tries to show "Hey! It's ok being gay!" yet it gives no hint about anyone's sexuality, at all.
Can you guess Iron Bull is bisexual? Not in a million years I would guess that ****.
Maybe she reacted like that because she's used to random guys hitting on her and then not taking 'I'm not interested' for an answer? So she made it really clear. Happens often irl. Combine that with Sera's naturally brash, tactless nature and she's not likely to spare your feelings. Though she does later. If you try to hit on her at Skyhold (presumably once you're friends with her), she'll basically say "sorry, but we have too much in common - as in, we're both into women". How kindly she does it might be linked to approval.
I'd advise not hitting on Vivienne, OP. If you didn't like Sera's rejection, you really won't like hers.
To be honest, I hate everything about Vivienne.
P.S : Did you guys notice the VAST majority of characters is from the free marches in the inner circle of companions? That can't be a coincidence...
Hahahaha lol
But seriously, I don't get friendzoned. Ever. It's either yes or no, not between.

Thats the whole point....why do ya need a bilboard screaming someone is Gay or Bi or watever ?
Yeah, it's really hard to do it with a Dalish elf. But it does have it's rewarding moments too.. 'clackity clack'
Apparently, I was too "elfy elf" for her.
That made me laugh way, way more than it should.
Also OP: she's lesbian. Lesbians tend to reject men. The audicity, am I right?
Lesbians only reject men because there isn't a big "I AM A LESBIAN" sticker on their foreheads, otherwise we wouldn't even bother.
It is a fatality, since we have to do ALL the work in courtship.
Maybe he was hoping he could "cure" her...
There is no cure for that, it is a genetic trait.
And why would I even bother with her? I'll just do whatever I feel like it and if she starts complaining I'll order her to clean the stables.
Thats the whole point....why do ya need a bilboard screaming someone is Gay or Bi or watever ?
The "billboard" is not directed to this objective, it is a discussion about the lack of regard Sera had for my - and possibly others' - feelings.
I was caught by surprise, since every Dragon Age game had bisexual romance options, regardless of the character in the franchise.
who cares about Sera?
romance Cassandra man
It is what I did, but I fear Cassandra is a very common clichè with female writers.
Don't take me wrong, I like her. But she is one of the very speficic romance tastes for men.

So before jumping in the game , ya didnt read that there will be one lesbian and one gay companions ,at all ?
Innit?
Very much. Like, gimme mai flamethrower much.
She gets so much hate for being ignorant.
For not being a sheep in the herd.

Nope. You need to know only when (and IF) you try to, err... make advances. If you don't, nobody even needs to (and nobody may actually find out, I can't remember.. although, bard Maryden trying stuff...) that Sera only goes for girls.
For not being a sheep in the herd.
So is she the only special snowflake?
So is she the only special snowflake?
No, but she doesn't go with the rest of the herd, like a brainless zombie.

So that's what the rest of the companions do then? Or everyone in the Inquisition for that matter? The Inquisition itself was a rebellious move against the Chantry which is why she wanted to be part of it in the first place.

Yeah, exactly.
When most would just be againist the Inquisition, because it was the thing the herd would do. She is not the only such person in the Inquisition, yet she gets the hate for it!

The only one that contends on her level of ignorance is Vivienne, but it seems that she is a lot more professional about it.
It is true that there is no one like Sera...but perhaps that's a good thing.
