It cant be Christmas Magic if it last the entire year.Argh, I miss it.
Well, it's a shame that it didn't last forever.

But my love of shipping is probably a bad influence

probabably not i like elves and dwarves lolCan we agree that elves are the true evil in the world and that they cursed the dwarves to be midgets along with hijacking early human magic?
But people left anyway. Or were killed. So clearly that didn't happen. Even if Fiona was brainwashed a great deal of Venatori recruits from their ranks were not. You can hear the ideological debate at Redcliffe.
True. I'm not quite sure how that patently debunks the theory, but you're clearly correct that not everyone was under influence.
I'm rather averse to the phrase "brainwashing." It isn't a very good word for what it usually describes, and what it describes is really not what is being suggested in the case of Redcliffe...or what is ever happening in a blood magic mind control scenario. That might seem nitpicky, but it's an important distinction, imo.
I've never observed a scenario in the lore where a person or animal had their brain completely "washed" and then rebuilt through the use of blood magic...and that certainly was not what happened with Fiona. Blood magic doesn't seem to ever work that concisely. It influences, and it sometimes overpowers, but it doesn't do so neatly. Even an extremely powerful Magister like Alexius might have trouble doing it to a competent Mage. I do not think it would be practical for him to attempt it on the Mages en mass.
I'm not even necessarily suggesting the mental suggestion had anything to do with Fiona accepting assistance from Alexius. I just think it's perfectly plausible that he would utilize that power to keep a handle on her after he starts to tighten his grip and change the rules.
Still, I don't have proof, so I'm hardly going to go out of my way to try to convince someone who isn't inclined to entertain the idea already, but I've yet to see another explanation for Fiona's very specific forgetfulness (aside from her dementia
).

then they need more lotionThey had to let it out. Otherwise keeping it to themselves is self-torture.
I really don't know what all the fuss is about regarding the mages questline. I went back today and played it for the first time after having chosen the templar path previously and I found it to be little more than a boring dungeon crawl. I liked the templar questline a lot more.

Honestly I *am* a moderate. It's why I always conscript the templars and if not for Fiona I could side with the mages too.
I'm just tired of being demonized for not rolling out the welcome wagon.
