Is the need to forcibly convert all opposing viewpoints mandatory in order to join the mage side?

And i only contribute if i have something to add and when i do its quesions and open theories
Told ya, we do have something in common. It's entertaining, and sometimes you even learn something new from people debating or discussion.

At least you're civil, and you have a tact and you respect people right to their own belief and opinion. Of course, it's all good until people start attacking each other, or insult their family member.

You are more concerned with us not accepting that ending than we are with it existing.

Of course the freedom of mages will backfire. The people of Thedas isn't use to that, so don't expect them to warm over to that any time soon. The Epilogue of Inquisition gave us only Morrigan's viewpoint, but not the details of the general consensus of the people.
Comparison from real life:
Think of the abolishment of slavery. They were free, but people still abused them. It'll take some time to accept mages, maybe a movement of some kind, then the word of Leliana, who could be assassinate at anytime. ![]()

Liking Cass is easy no matter what -pro you are. Cause she's awesome.
Vivienne is also awesome in her own way, so it's not that controversial really.

I like to think that I'm more of a learner than a teacher, and I learn a lot of things from people on the BSN, but sometimes it's feel good that my viewpoints give people something to think about, it doesn't matter if they agree or disagree, hell it doesn't matter if they hate me for having my own viewpoints. I only express my opinion. XD
So...I take it that you're peacekeeper, sheriff of the town eh? I see you try to calm heated argument, and stop the debate from devolving to personal shots before. Can I be your deputy? ![]()

And if it doesn't? People act as though it backfiring is assured but have you considered that it might not? What would you do if it not only doesn't backfire but winds up working? Consider that unlike DAO where the endings were pretty final since they didn't know if they were going to get more games, the devs outright said that there are going to be more DA games and thus the endings were made with the knowledge that there are going to be more games. Why would they put the option there if they were going to retcon it? People thought the DR would backfire and it hasn't. People thought the Architect decision would backfire and it hasn't. Funny how the only decision that seems to have backfired is siding with the Templars in DA2.
Also, remember that this is a video game. Regardless of what would happen in real life, if the devs want something to happen, it's going to happen no matter how illogical you think it is.

I wonder if Bioware realized how unrealistic that was after the finished the game ![]()

same could be said bout the other right haha
Nope. The Circle already has a proven record: over 900 years that it worked effectively. Last time the mages were given unchecked control over the Circles, the magisters rose to power again. I am sure it was wonderful for a short time, but when you get lax with regulation and oversight, people take miles on the inch.
Leliana has a lot more to prove than the other two.

Shepard ended centuries of genocidal hatred within the span of about a minute in ME3. This kind of thing is hardly without precedent.

It's going to go wrong somewhere, unless you kill everyone on Thedas that grew up in this time period. They aren't going to accept change so easily.
I bet you have a daily routine or something that you're use to doing a lot. But when one little thing is out of order, it probably throws you off, and even makes you a little mad. Even use these forums for an example. People were upset that Dragon Age 2 wasn't like Origins, and there were many outcry about the changes. It was something that they wasn't use too, and they wanted order back.
The people of Southern Thedas aren't use to mages living side by side with them, and they'll want order back, eventually. The circle is needed, but with more freedom for the mages, which is exactly what Cassandra does at Divine.

Let's also add what the Warden does:
Help resolve a succession crisis in Orzammar and rediscovers the secrets of golem-making
Fight through an entire tower of abominations and demons even when it is said entire groups of templars have difficulty with even 1 abomination
Fight through an entire forest of werewolves and possessed trees to recruit an entire clan of dalish or pack of werewolves
Can help save an entire town from an undead attack
Finds the long lost urn of sacred ashes
Crowns the new Ferelden monarch(s)
Can potentially be the first warden to not die when killing an archdemon
All of this in the span of a year.

And what will you do when the series continues to show that Leliana's reforms aren't doomed after all?

None of which are on the level of getting rid of all that conflict in a unrealistic amount of time
