Bla blah "without sacrificing the soul of our species." *blindly follows starchild's orders* Shepard is a damn hypocrite.

That was just Shepard's imagination. In fact, all of the games were just a dream, and canonically, Shepard wakes up after the beacon explodes on Eden Prime.

I'd consider committing genocide against a species as peaceful as the non-Heretic Geth when there are two other options readily available would be "sacrificing the soul of our species", and definitely would go against Shepard's desire to not "let fear compromise who I am", but this isn't the place to discuss that.

Those same "peaceful" non heretic geth with the highest known bodycount of anyone we know of but the Reapers at 2,000,000,000+ innocent people and counting? That deliberately destroyed 99.5%  of a species down to the last man, woman, child and family (as well as any other member of any Council species of meatbags unfortunate enough to be on said worlds at the time) , well beyond any demographically concievable military necessity, and simply in a bid to annex planetary territories they had no need of? Who then slaughtered each and every peace envoy sent into "their" space, along with anyone else unfortunate enough to get lost in it for 3 centuries straight? Who willingly ally with the genocidal Reapers, assist in their campaign of slaughter against organics across the galaxy, and will mechanically finish off the remaining descendants of the 0.5% of the aforementioned species that escaped their ethnic cleansing campaign, given the (Reaper) technology and opportunity to do so?

Let's not forget the undeniable firsthand evidence of their unprovoked attack us on Haestrom, and that they will attack Shepard if the latter dares to merely voice disaproval of the geth plan to use Reaper tech to slaughter or enslave their Rightful Masters.

I don't get the point you're making anyway. Being the morally and pragmatically superior (Renegade) choice as usual, subjecting the malfunctioning toasters to a long overdue commercial recall isn't something that that sentimental idiot Paragon Shepard does anyway. S/he's to busy whining a bunch of nonsense about their flappy faced toaster buddy apparently being a people because Reaper code (lol), and betraying more loyal, useful allies.

All three endings are morally horrible, but destroy is the least so.
