I was laughing down at you when your l33t lvl 1 Hunter got downed in that Perilous game. Please keep telling us about your rank and stats... All I saw was a leacher who didnt have a clue what he was talking about
IMO, for some reason, top leader boards ppl like to play hunter. I've played two gold games in a lobby of a player /name removed by self censorship/, and he has prestige similar to Drasca or around that number. My hopes were very high and I expected to be gloriously curried to extraction. Alas, it did not happen and in the first game, we wiped in zone 3 and in the second game, me and another keeper were the last standing in zone 5 while our glorious host top scored in both games with lvl 10/12 hunter iirc by quite a narrow margin. Not being impressed, I left to find another lobby which went through much smoother. Also, there was a lot of trash talking there from the host about leader boards and our scrubby game play while all others were silent during the game. I even had to mute him at some point as it were getting annoying. I know, I am not a good player. There is no need to rub it in. Just show how to do it well like it has to be done.
So, IMO, as a player on his own self, he was very good but it did not help nobody. I then met him again struggling with Katari on silver. That was painful to watch despite the fact that he had Sulevin blade. No trash talking this time, I think he remembered me or maybe mic was not plugged, not sure.
I've stumbled also on two other people from top leader boards. Again, sparing the names due to self censorship. Both were in gold pugs and they were high level elementalists spamming firestorm every time all the time. I don't think they have used anything else, well, may be firewall once or twice. Very smooth and easy games apart from screen shakes.
i find that if everyone only got teamplay in mind, that is:
collect at the secret door immediately and dont go a step too far which could attract the next opponents
split up left and right to collect the small pots
open the chest and do whatever job is together
its really quick. i can barely imagine speedrunning beating that. its about 15-20 seconds for about 75 Gold and some XP on threatening
I would say skipping doors and pots works when you are on a very good and efficient team and just going through a ton of playthroughs together (or soloing for that matter). I mostly only play with PUGs and many of them are not that great so it doesn't make sense to rush through the level. I might as well get gold along the way.
I'll make this simple Drasca. All I said was the group working together. I didn't say how they work together. So blanket No'ing what I said and then stating a strategy to do exactly what I said only proves my point. Not refutes it. Try again sometime. I may come and go a bit due to real life but I've been around a very long time. You'll have your chances.
Schaefer You do have a point on how to do treasure rooms. Good teams. Specially with some good equipment and or promotions under their belt can actually clear a treasure room even with it summoning their two biggest threats easily. And I've seen close to 100 gold come out of some of them with luck on routine alone. it just depends on the number of pots that decide to spawn in it. Quite honestly with a few levels under my belt I have a couple characters that can even solo treasure rooms, Big Baddies included, when playing on routine and still clear them out quickly with the help of one other on threatening. One of them just takes me a bit longer because I keep having to chase the teleporting pain in my butt around with a melee.
It's fine...to say what you want ..grinding and long hours don't make me a good player nor do my stats but I state them to say I have experience and time in the game more so then most...and that maybe I have noticed something alot of the theories i'v read fall apart with my high lvl stats ... or just don't add up... if you would like to join me to test anything using logic and a scientific method of reasonable deduction...we can do that... and many who play with me tend to see my point... say what you will bUT alot of ppl learn and benefit from my advice... and regardless of the negativity I get from this forum the positive feed back I get in game far out wieght and eclipse any negativity that is spat at me on these forums.... I love to see ppl grow and evolve and just knowing that I had a slight or major part in that makes me very happy... so I'll keep on posting grinding climbing and improving ....^^ and I hope you all will join me for the journy... and it would be nice if bio ware put some definitive stats out so we can stop the guessing game as it were

Did I miss something? Treasure rooms have 2 pots no more no less, every treasure room I've ever been in anyway(excluding the small rooms that never have them obviously).
When I'm on some teams with very good players, we all sense that we're over 300 in Promotions and have lots of money and top gear already. These tend to be teams where we rush through and skip pots and rooms (usually a Legionnaire or AW leads the way through their actions and we just follow). We're there more for the challenge, exp. points and 40th promotion, rather than 700 Gold.
By the way, Jim Morrison would like a word with you...
If they only have 2 pots that is a recent change. I'll go in and look more. I haven't gotten to play much in the last couple of weeks or so with moving and such. barely got on enough to do my weekend challenges or to check certain numbers for a different thread. I'm used to there being 4 in most larger treasure rooms at least. I know for a fact in the past in the orlesian Chateau the treasure room with the middle floor sunk in down stairs and the statue in the middle of the lower piece that tends to end up summoning one of the Arcane Horror types that I have seen all 4 sides of that statue have pots to break. more often it's been like two pots on each side of the room type of thing. but then I've also noticed that gold drops themselves seem to have changed a bit slightly as well.

The reward is just boring. A few coins or a low level item.
It's ridiculous to call them treasure rooms.

Have you considered that if so many people are not just scrutinizing minute details, but providing intelligent arguments that it might be wise to consider them?
Furthermore, have you ever heard the idiom, "Practice Makes Perfect"? Have you considered that this might also apply if you practice at not learning and not sounding intelligent, to a point that at some point it might actually become you? The problem here is most people have to read your post about five times to try and discern what you're actually saying. Better sentence structure and spell checking would help a lot. I have an internet translator, so to say, I can overlook mistakes, but every once in a while people like you show up and make it go, "WTF?!?!" Seriously, most browsers have spellchecker, all you have to do is right click on the words underlined in red.
The op maths are flawed because he didnt took into account items that may drop. Each is worth more than 200 by items per chest ratio
You can't get anything good from them OP says and he would know as he hasn't done treasure rooms since day 3 of playing the game. So when it comes to what you can and can't get from treasure rooms he's an expert.

I skip treasure rooms on principle nowadays, at least on perilous. Technically, the 4-5 items you get per run are another chest of disappointment, but I have almost all the stuff I want anyway. No point in getting more item drops which I then have to spent time salvaging.
