Have you considered that if so many people are not just scrutinizing minute details, but providing intelligent arguments that it might be wise to consider them?

Furthermore, have you ever heard the idiom, "Practice Makes Perfect"? Have you considered that this might also apply if you practice at not learning and not sounding intelligent, to a point that at some point it might actually become you? I don't know about you, but being unintelligent would be one of the worst things I can imagine.

surely you read through the thread.....some of the stuff is just hateful..and colorfully worded... is there really a need to attack some one so .... and I have been nothing but kind... granted I make spelling mistakes and grammatical errors but that has no barring on my intelligence...the reason I don't care for spell check is I use my phone not a computer .... atm.. but to go after me when I have done nothing but try and help the community is wrong... take a look in the mirror...and judge on your own self.... I can take constructive criticism but I'm going to stick to my guns it's my opinion and I stand firmly by it..ands you do your but I don't attack you for it and troll you on a forum...the attention I garnish is very astonishing.... but on a positive note...thanks to all you who support me which is double the trolls because it seems to be the same people every time...I do not take the trolling of a few as a reflection on the whole community and I'm going to continue to help... the is a reason I have over 100 fiends on live at any given time and 400+ followers there's a reason my twitch grows by at lest two people a day and that over 10% of those who view me become followers... You have decent vocabulary. I realize you don't care; but, when you are conveying a message using written media, you have only your grammar, CAPITALIZATION, sepllnig and proper punctuation to communicate the connotations that would otherwise be shown through visual cues if we were talking face to face. Without tone and body language, how you word and present your message is as important as the content of your message.

 

I urge you to reconsider your writing style. While I find your sentiments laudable, coherence would greatly add credibility to your arguments.

If you want faster promotions and experience gain, skip doors. Gold loss from skipping doors is minimal or none. Explanation for this below:

If your group is fast enough you can be halfway or more through the 2nd run by the time it takes to be completing the first run if you had opened all the guardian doors in that first run. So the loss of gold is minimal at best.

The items from chests are also absolutely worthless level 5 garbage 99% of the time. They do not improve in perilous difficulty and for some reason, maybe by design, you usually get items instead of gold from chests in perilous difficulty making it even more worthless to do it. So there is almost no loss regarding gold-per-hour if you skip doors in perilous.

So if you're doing perilous and are fast and you skip doors, your gold-per-hour accumulation isn't hindered at all and you gain XP faster. The chest rewards are just designed badly. You get the same items in perilous difficulty from chests that you get in routine difficulty. It is not worth it.

It's not worth doing doors. I would use the same argument for threatening difficulty. Trust me, don't waste your time doing doors. You don't always get gold from them anyway, especially in perilous.

Leaving 1 person behind to solo the guardian room while the other 3 go clear the level is possible and doable, however that one individual isn't going to be generating that much XP for the group, so doing that doesn't work if you want maximum experience gain for the run from all 4 people.

I was rank 20 on the pc leaderboards, am rank 44 now because I haven't played much at all in 3 weeks (waiting for new content). So I've played this game extensively. Trust me, there's a reason people skip doors. There's no point in wasting time doing them in a game that is this ridiculously grindy when there is no actual benefit from doing it. If you are a new player they will probably appeal to you but after you've played the game for as long as I have you just don't even want to look at them anymore.

It is no more so than several examples from you towards others. I'm not surprised that you are unable to see your double standard in this regard, but, nonetheless, it exists.

You have a very inflated and erroneous view of most of your own posts. You also translate all disagreement into "people hating/going after you," and counter every point someone makes with yet another reminder of how superiour you are because of your rank in the game and all the time you've spent playing it. That isn't helping the community, any more than telling people how to play when you have a limited grasp of the subject matter is.

You caught me. I made some posts in response to you, and attempted to be funny. Calling that "attacking" you is ridiculous, in my opinion. Especially since I primarily did it in a thread in which you claimed you were only trying to be funny, yourself.

And now you're back to reminding us of how superiour that you are, and that last bit about wanting me to "drown in the light of your success" is easily far more hostile than anything that I've ever said to you.

 

I'll mock people, I don't deny it. I don't need to look in the mirror to figure that out, because I already know that about myself. I don't recall that I've ever actually attacked or insulted anyone, however. I may not "shine the light of my ever-so-condescending enlightenment upon the huddled masses" or whatever, but I will take time out of my busy schedule of mocking to dial it back and call a spade a spade: You aren't that great. You don't know that much about the game, or how people should play it. When people call attention to the fallacies in the advice you proclaim to be so superiour, you immediately claim they are "hating" you or "attacking" you, and use it as an excuse to proclaim, once again, how superiour you are and how everyone should appreciate you for what you are doing.

 

Perhaps you should take your own advice and self-reflect a little. Perhaps you should learn to take a joke. But I think we both know that you will not do these things. Don't misunderstand me, I really don't care what you do. I find your presence in these forums amusing, and I have enjoyed your threads for a variety of reasons. I will be just fine if you carry on the way that you do, because I find it entertaining. Aside, I agree completely. There is never an excuse to not use proper grammar and spelling.

You see, this is the problem. You do have a small, albeit select, crowd of followers. This means that you are obligated to be accurate with information, although you are content with spreading misinformation like that certain completing challenges in some way affects the RNG system. This undermines everyone else whom has followers, as when players realize that you are full of it, they are less likely to trust any of us.


Now, given what I just said, you must understand my position. Your actions will indirectly affect me in what I do, and so I have a vested interest in you becoming a successful and accurate font of knowledge for players. Please bear that in mind for what I say next.

The issue is that I have seen you take no advice whatsoever, even that which is perfectly sound. Your response to everything has been, "Well, I have x rank on the leaderboards and x followers/friends, so I must be doing something right..."

I hate to draw this comparison, because it is grossly disproportionate to the rather trivial nature of video gaming, but do you realize there were a lot of people that thought Stalin and Hitler were good people? I only make this wild comparison to illustrate that your followers and rank are not something to leverage as evidence of your capability, because that is a non sequitur argument. Instead, your rank and followers are a burden... Because people look to you for advice and an experienced voice. That means you have a responsibility to provide accurate information. You have shown that you recognize this because you are posting here. You cannot give accurate information if you are in a position where you feel like you are to high above everyone to ask for advice.

My point is that you need to actually take the advice and put it to practice. Several people have given you feedback that you are coming off as arrogant because you feel the need to show your achievements to everyone in an almost desperate attempt at gaining recognition. This is not people mindlessly being negative (although some are a bit more harsh in their speech, granted). It is people giving you honest feedback at how you are appearing to others. If you accept one piece of advice, it would be to step down off your throne and talk to everyone as if they are an equal, not your subjects. This is not me being mean. It is an honest observation of exactly how you appear to others. Trust me when I say this is invaluable when you are in the public eye.

And before you make a comment to me about followers and achievements (and my jealousy therein), I would urge you to reconsider.

Medallion, stop digging your hole deeper. None of us are envious dude. You came on here and said, "My way is best." That's only true for certain people. My way is better for new and casual players. Accept that not all of us want hundreds of promotions and you'll see some of the hate disappear.

I've seen them, as well as GOW's, I don't play COD so thank god, but I've heard that its pretty much the most toxic community there is, hard to imagine after seeing destiny, gow's, and halo's.

The math behind it... if you run 2 games an hour and gross 2200...1100 a game... you may feel that good but it's far better to gain 300 to 500 per game and run 6 games per hour that's 1800 to 300 an hour it basiclly a rages out the diffrance being the high increase in exp.

Every second matters..never waste time.... soo you run through a game and you spend 2-5 minutes after talking getting chests and setting skills...no biggy....wrong...let's look at the math... if you run 10 games at 6 games an hour that's about an hour and a half of run time...and 3-5 minutes you can go ahead and add 30 to 50 minutes of dead wasted time you just almost doubled your run time ... from hour and a half too two hours or more.....the basic premise is making the most efficient use of your time for the most gain

As for doors and chests and all of that, I personally vote no. More XP/minute > Gold.

But if the team I play with wants to open all doors, I don't really mind.
