There are always things people will pick apart in these games, some serious, some minor and some are just things that are just like that itch you can't scratch! We have enough love/hate threads. Give me your pet peeves folks, let's keep it light hearted and not so serious!

I am sure we would all like more customization in Skyhold, and I am sure we'd all like to see some areas fixed that are left in disrepair through the whole game. For me one of these items has become an obsession that causes me to yell at my TV screen everytime I see it. My friends I give you the candelabra in side room of the garden where the devout go to pray. It's on the floor the whole game! People must be stepping over this repeatedly and yet no one picks it up! I get that it takes a long time to repair walls but anyone can pick up the candelabra anytime, with no effort.... except no one seems to do it! There is even a cutscene with the thing on the floor when Cullen is praying! I mean they had to make a conscious effort to leave this on the ground in the cutscene! ARGH! Someone really needs to pick this thing up....

Here you can see it in all it's annoying glory!

Come on Cullen pick it up!

Playing DAI with mouse and keyboard when it's clear the game was optimized for controllers.

My biggest pet peeve is that the game has no day-to-night cycle. Crestwood doesnt quite cut it because its more arbitrary than cohesive.

Hearing my wife yell at the screen because her party refuses to hold has become a common occurence!

This would be a nice addition for sure. The nightscape is one of the reasons I love Hissing Wastes despite most people hating it.

The broken Hold Position function

Companions blocking doorways preventing me from getting past

Companions getting in the way when I'm trying to climb up something by somehow appearing above me and blocking my way up

The stupid brainless idea that less is more by now forcing me to only be able have 5-6 skills equipped and make it impossible to switch weapons during battle

And along with the above "less is more" statement, limiting me to only being able to carry 12 potions when I used to carry as many as I liked

The dead bodies that keep appearing in the main court yard of Skyhold while nearby people stand or sit around the fire as if the dead do not bother them.

Yes the "hold positions"

I was just fighting the dragon in the fens yesterday and was not amused when the whole party insisted on moving from ground into the water to get electrocuted despite me pressing the damn "hold" every 3s!

@Tinxa and @EyesOnly: The problem with it as well is that the person you're controlling is immune to the 'Hold Positions' command, so doing areas like 'The Dead Hand' because next to impossible because you'll turn around after you think you've got everyone in position and they're just standing behind you.  Very frustrating!

It just seemed like it's the zone that had the least amount of effort put into it. It's one of, if not the biggest area in game and yet there is so little to look at, just large expanses of nothing. Yes I get that it's the hissing wastes, so that goes with the territory, I am speaking from a design standpoint.  As for pet peeves, I have a minor annoyance with some of the character animations during cutscenes, a lot of them having been ripped from mass effect. It's kind of hard to explain, for example, when some of the characters are sitting, they slide forward in the chair to get comfortable before leaning back again. Shepard does the same in mass effect 2 and 3 as well as other characters like Morinth, I dunno, just always think that they could have added some unique animations for a game of this caliber.

-Jumping to get that one shard in Hinterlands,  the whole affair is crafted to test how stubborn you are.

-The fact that I can't jump off the battlements.

-The fact that sometimes I lose my cursor.

Not the battlements but the bridge at the main gate does work! Apparently there are suicide approved areas in the game. The battlements are a no suicide area!

But it's a perfect spot !   especially when you break up with Cullen. (or when Blackwall starts with his lectures)

oh yes, one more: prior mastering  the hold button all my companions were out for my blood.  IQ walks on thin beam? Lets push her  to the abyss bellow . Thank you very much, I rather do it myself.

Cullen.

I actually like the character a lot but much like Daryl Dixon and Dean Winchester the character has been ruined for me by rabid fans going on and on about how he's the best character ever, that he makes the game what it is and how amazing and flawless he is.

oh and I almost forgot, when playing the exalted plains area and you clear one of the ramparts, you hear orlesian soldiers constantly repeating "tired of waiting around!"

I'm glad there wasn't one. I typically never explore at night during any game. It's all dark...scary...monsters...in addition, it's just not organic... The day night cycles are usually too fast and it's pretty annoying.

Going inside a house or similar, then turning back and having your posse crowd the doorway.

At one point I seriously considered dismissing Blackwall for good only because he blocked my way so often.

"Get the f*ck out of my way!" Will usually be said multiple times during my PT.  I have half a mind to just jump into the Mythal hole just to avoid the companions knocking me off the tiles during the temple quest.

When Block and Slash doesn't activate properly in the middle of an intense fight because the last animation wasn't completely finished.
