Rescuing the caged villagers in Sahrnia Quarry - that one guy in every. Single. Cage. Demanding (in a gratingly bad accent) "You HAVE to help us! They'll turn us into those things." Then when you let him out, not so much as a 'thank you', just "HAVE YOU FREED EVERYONE" in that same obnoxious, demanding tone. I spent from the second cage on muttering things like I don't HAVE to do anything. Should just murder knife you and leave you in the cage...
Pet peeves, or things that make you yell at your screen!

When you're looting or just taking your time in general and one of your smart arse companions decides to start rushing you along. As if you needed reminding every 50 seconds what the quest is.

Technically that's not in the game, but yeah certainly that for me.

I discovered another irritant in a new play-through. I usually take the ram meat/rebel caches quests and circle around towards the cult and Ritts early on. I must have always done the first artifact quest before, though.
Today I discovered if you have not done the first measure the veil quest with the Dalish elf, Solas doesn't blink or nod or say anything about the artifact in the stupid cult compound. You can't click on it. You can't activate it. Do they seriously expect us to come all the way back there just to activate it? Let Solas mention it there, for crying out loud.
I discovered that on my second playthrough, and was like "What?! Seriously?!"
It's not like you get anything for finding them all, anyway...

If you activate enough of them you get a war table mission for a "powerful" rift in that has appeared in Hinterlands. Which is really not powerful - a few pride demons whoa no!

Yeah, but that's only after getting a few of them. After that, there's still more to activate but no real reason to do so. Which is a little annoying.
Another peeve - that weird tippy-toe walk your Inquisitor does sometimes after jumping around.

Have Solas activate them and the laugh when you get the message "Solas slightly approves".

Repeatedly trying to jump up a small rise and sliding down (usually to get one of those damn shards) until you accidentally find just the right spot that someone decided the jump would work on, even though it looks no different than the rest of the damn rock.

#1. When EAware patched the helpful glitches.
#2. Having to waste oodles of Dragon Teeth in order to get a single boost result.
#3. When I try to win the favour of party members and they end up hating me for it.
#4. That stupid conversation between Varric and Solas about the big bad... that keeps spawning over and over and over again whenever I have the two of them in the same party.
#5. The fact that the best weapon schematics for any given point in the game look hideously ugly, and I only get the good-looking ones after they're already redundant. If I have to prat about with that bloody awful cubism-staff one more time...
#6. No glasses. I want my glasses.
#7. When I try to do that bullrush thing with my warrior to run faster, but it cuts out immediately for no apparent reason and I have to wait for the cooldown to try it again.
#8. Slopes that are JUST a little too steep to run / climb / jump up.

Cullen.
I actually like the character a lot but much like Daryl Dixon and Dean Winchester the character has been ruined for me by rabid fans going on and on about how he's the best character ever, that he makes the game what it is and how amazing and flawless he is.
I feel your pain. For awhile some of Tali's fans had ruined her character for me.

Can I add chasing after that damn golden halla? I want to murder knife that halla. Then after you stop chasing it, it usually runs into the Dalish camp on its own. I hate that halla so much. I finished my 4th playthrough and left it as the only active quest on the board. My inner completionist is crabby at me for doing that, but I just can't even.

My main gripe is my parties utter incompetence, seriously. And all the bugs, bulkiness lack of info etc but for now it's this.
Me: "Seems like a dwarven tunnel or something .. what do you think it's for"
Varric: "How the **** should I know!?"
Solas: "Estás madre smalls como el queso en la barbilla"
Sera: "Pfft, eleven language sucks!"
(I know he doesn't talk spanish, but can't find the elven translator on google)
Me: "Look darkspawn! Blackwall how many?"
Blackwall: "Huh? oh, iunno"
Then he's the first to go down when fighting them >.<
Shouldn't he have an innate ability to do extra damage against them ... or at least feel how many are around?
Seriously nobody in my party has any sort of insightful or helpful information, at all ever, and the only one that does never shares! .. solas you ass
Most of the time I'm roaming with 1 or 2 people I just feel like having around at the time to keep me company cause that's really all they do.
Varric - surfacer, has barely been in tunnels, hates "traditional" dwarves
Sera - not raised with other elves, so why would she know the elven language?
Blackwall - not actually a Warden, hence cannot sense darkspawn

Yesterday, I got stuck in combat. Combat had ended, but the combat stance of my characters hadn't. We just walked around the map like that. I was SO frustrated. I couldn't fast travel or anything because the game thought I was combat even though there was NOTHING around.
I don't know what finally knocked the party out of it...

The freaking hole in Cullen's office's roof. Why is it still there after we refurbish Skyhold? He would be so damn cold, they're on top of a goddamn mountain.
Any time when I wanted to go somewhere but there was a wall that was JUST BARELY too tall to jump, or some kind of gap below it that I couldn't crawl through because there was no crawl button I mean, I don't get bothered by giant mountains but sometimes I'm just like "YO INQUISITOR YOU'RE A MAGE JUST BLOW THE WALL APART YOU IDIOT" before I trek around for 10 minutes to find the freaking entrance.
The bug where I couldn't break stuff with my mage so I always had to switch to a warrior awkwardly and it was just super annoying.
Not being able to hug a select number of my companions. I'm sorry we're BFF's I think we are at the point where I can give them a freaking hug, and no being able to hug Varric after Hawke dies doesn't count because Hawke never dies in my game. (DEATH TO STROUD!)
The exclusion of all DA2 LI's even though some of their exclusions make no sense whatsoever.
Where are the Awakening Companions? They're all Wardens! Are they okay? Where is Velanna? Sigrun? Oghren? NATHANIEL? Please tell me they're with my Warden adventuring. Please, I don't want them to be dead....

The glitchy cutscene at the battle of Haven. I aim the trebuchet, I see the boulder flying away and then it just cuts to disjointed slideshows up to the point you take control again. Oh, wait, you can't take control, because Quizzie's become all stiff and immobile. I work around it by clicking on a companion... though I then get the chance to see the dragon pulling a Skyrim of sorts. o_O So I now press skip whenever that cutscene attempts to play.

speaking of the battle at Haven... you tell Cullen you are going out there by yourself to lure the archdemon so everyone else can escape... then why do you have your party with you? And then once Corypheus appears... where did your party go?

Why can't the runners walk out of the doors in Skyhold? I'm not blocking them, nobody and nothing is blocking them, the doors are open but yet they still walk through walls. It's unnerving.

Crazy, isn't it?
I want to follow the messengers to see where they go but I can't do that when they walk through walls. ![]()
Success with getting the loot off the second story building in the Exalted Plains. I used my horse and having horses in real life, it was such a crazy thing to be doing but we do crazy things in games so whatever.
My horse wasn't happy about trying to jump to a second story but eventually we made it and I got the loot.
I'm level 22 and got a level 11 plain dagger, which is useless to me but still, I got it.
I need to remember to use my horse more often...I forget that they exist. ![]()
