"tired of waiting around to die" is like "I took an arrow to the knee" kind of irritating. Just jump into the fade rift, you big baby, and die already.

Not being able to swim. Getting killed by..."grass" in the Arbor Wilds if I went out of bounds. The stupid wounded at Skyhold without stretchers or anything under them. They are just passed out or dead on the ground and people are, la la la, walking around them. I mean....what? Even when I got the infirmary, they still were there, lying like dead fish.

And that candle stick the OP mentioned. I just shook my head every time I saw it. Like really, no one can pick that damn thing up?

Companions zipping around everywhere. It's freaky. So is the constant running into each other, into walls, on top of things - though that's just annoying. I don't remember DA2's crew being so twitchy.

Every time Vivenne opens her mouth.

The Hold button is broken.

The lack of tactics for companions.

Man baby Lord Seeker.

You're making me laugh! Man baby Lord Seeker...he had the uglist darkspawnish looking skin. How could anyone think they wanted to side with that nut (not that Fiona seemed to be thinking with a brain). And I agree about Viv...and everything else. If I couldn't laugh about this stuff, I'd have to stop playing the game, because some of the things about it drive me crazy. Mostly the things that break my brain are the technical things.

Most of my peeves seem to be widely shared.

Companions blocking doorways.
Companions taking falling damage walking behind me on a flat surface.
Companions pushing me to my death.
Companions not holding position.
Companions.
Ladders, jumping, bad physics.
The shards.
Fake french accents - 'I hate waiting to die.'
Inability to kill annoying npcs Skyrim style.

But some things are so awful they're funny. One of my favourites is when Cassandra taunts magical barriers or Dorian stands next to it and uses mind blast on them.

Wait, best thing about Cassandra...attempting to use grapple...on a dragon.

Another thing about Cassandra (and Blackwall, too): attempting to use Charging Bull... off the side of a cliff.

Valeska's Watch was a blast, having both of them charging over the edge into the Deep Roads every 5 seconds. They would inevitably have max guard built up, I'd look at what my character was doing for half a second, and suddenly, their guard would be gone and their health bars would be completely red. "Dammit, Cassandra/Blackwall, you did it again!"

Why... why is everything so shiny?

It's like Hawke sacrificed Sebastian to the old gods and his armour exploded and covered the world. Solas's head is freaking blinding me, and my elf looks like she's huffing gold paint and it's staining her lips.

Mine is mild by comparison. The First Giant whilst taking Sullen Keep. Once you get him down he jumps in a tree where you cant reach him. You have to reboot and start the fight over. Has happened to me four times.

Running into characters!!! Omg I miss in Origins (mabye 2 too, cant remember) where you could walk through your other characters. I hate in DAI you have to run into another character and wait like 5 seconds until they move out of the way, and I don't want to switch to the other character, no, they should just move out of the way automatically, or make it so I can walk through them. And why, Maker, why did they add that awful-long lockpicking animation?!?!?!? I hate how they practically force you to have a rogue to open doors and chests, and now, they put the damn super long lockpicking animation. And still, WHY must I switch to my rogue every time? When I click on a locked door, the rogue should automatically go to pick it. I remember there was a mod like that for Origins, where a warrior could smash open a chest but if Leliana or Zevran were in the party, the mod would have them open the chest instead. I heard that it was cut content, and I just think, why did they take it out?? And why not add it back in DA2 and DAI? The mini map!! Omg, I hate bringing up the larger map over and over, and then I gotta put the blue waypoint so I can know where I'm going. Lord Jesus Christ... This was my biggest problem with the game, and second most biggest reason why I hate the game(after the short story). Why give these big maps and make them unnavigatable (is this a word?) I heard many people complain about fetch quests but I could not even complete most of the quests I had accepted, so I couldn't even complain about how bad the quests were, I could never get to where I needed to finish said quest. Anyway, I recently started a second play through to give the game another chance, and I'm having a much easier time navigating, so it's not really a problem anymore, but seriously. If they're going to continue with these huge maps, they need to make a better mini map and add a glowing trail a la Fable. Damn it, I hate ghosting. Stupid maps.

He polishes it every morning!

(also in CC you might want to tun off the lip shine for your character, it will help with her lips)

>:( I have restarted this freaking elf too many damn times to put myself through the character creator. It's not that I totally forgot at all this time, not at all. Ahem. Damn it.

Having loot and shards up high for us to have to jump around like headless chickens trying to reach them. If you're going to put platform elements in the game can you improve the controls?

I forgot to use the hold command while trying to get the loot on the other side of the thin wooden beam in the Emerald Graves. I had no problems getting to the loot but as soon as I started running back across my companions formed a line and knocked me down into a dark pit of death. I know it wasn't really their fault but I felt so betrayed :(

I do that, too. Every. Single. Time.  :pinched:

The only thing I would really classify as a real pet peeve is getting to the mosaic above the cave north of Redcliffe farms.  I don't feel like it is a test of anything other than appeasement of the random Gods in me finally mashing the keyboard and mouse buttons in the right random order.  Even the one where the dragon is isn't nearly as bad.

By the way, I have NO sympathy for any of you being pushed off cliffs by companions.  They may be on different continents on different worlds in totally different planes of existence, but companions stick together.  Lydia told them ALL about your oh so cute little "Hey Lydia, go stand at the edge here at  the throat  of the world... okay, perfect... FUS RO DAH" moment.  So yeah, companion payback.  It's a Vivienne.

Jumping. My biggest pet peeve, is jumping.

Exploration:

> Jump up rocks

> Fall down rocks

> Accidentally jump backwards

> Rage about BioWare's poor jumping feature

> Wish The Iron Bull would give Quizzy a leg up instead of standing around like an idiot waiting for something to happen

I have a few.

My companions refusing to get their asses out of the way. Why yes, it's nice that you're blocking the door, or my path up a steep side of a mountain. Or if I'm trying to jump, and they manage to get under me, and I do that weird sliding animation off their head.

The hold button. Though, I managed to get it to work after raging in the Dead Man's Hand puzzle for about an hour. Someone mentioned the yelling wife being a common occurrence, I'm the yelling wife! My husband had to calm me down, and I don't get mad easily. I'm actually a rather calm individual :P

Vivienne calling me 'darling'. I hate that in real life, it's worse when she does it.

The Orlesians in Exalted Plains. 'I hate waiting to die.' And the various other ambient dialogue they continually say. Oh my God! I killed every thing on the paths, get out of here then. Nothing's stopping you. I BEG YOU TO LEAVE. My annoyance with this gets worse if I do the Dead Man's Hand puzzle BEFORE doing the main quest line. I don't do well with repetitive noises.

Sometimes (I play on ps4, getting a new computer soon. Definitely switching.) the audio lags. Nice to hear my jumping grunts... 8 seconds after I've already jumped. Sometimes it cuts out all together, and requires me to restart the game. It isn't as common as the first one, but still pretty annoying.

I have more. But those are the ones I find myself getting close to a boiling point with.

That there is no brothel.

And that in this non existent brothel I can't choose "surprise me" like in Origins.

When I first fired up DAI, I was so pleased there was finally a jump animation after non in the previous 2 games - after a while exploring I began to hate it  :(.  I hate the space bar on DAI and ME3  jumping around or bouncing around in cover.

@Evelle: This has been an issue for me since DA2 as there is clearly only one movement skeleton for cut-scenes and that movement skeleton is male.
