Ismaels' fight, my Inquisitor is specced in full buff spells, I have my tanking warrior decked out in AOE taunts and all the spiders automatically aggro onto my Inquisitor. I hate the initial hate going onto the Inquisitor instead of the party member you've made tank...

The animals suddenly take fall damage and become hostile
Then the party would chase them all over the area but never able to kill them. And I cannot set up camp nor discover landmarks when I am at battle stance. This force me to chase the animals around. Ugh!! Though I find it extremely satisfying when Cass says 'Maker takes you!' when that horrible beast is finally down. ![]()

The Orlesians in Exalted Plains. 'I hate waiting to die.' And the various other ambient dialogue they continually say. Oh my God! I killed every thing on the paths, get out of here then. Nothing's stopping you. I BEG YOU TO LEAVE. My annoyance with this gets worse if I do the Dead Man's Hand puzzle BEFORE doing the main quest line. I don't do well with repetitive noises.
Do they say it if you side with Gaspard? I always assumed they were saying this because I would side with Celene and they all would be executed because they were basically traitors to the crown.

When I make a character and there's one thing I forget to do, like remove the blush, so once she's out in daylight there's this neon pink beaming out of each cheek. Or the lip shine, which makes them look like they've been munching vasaline.
Dorian resurrecting enemies so I can't loot them. Dorian resurrecting enemies so I can't shut a Rift. I love you moustache man, but please stop. I don't even get that spell for him anymore.
Intending to use a spell but using Spirit Blade instead, because they're mapped to the same button (e.g. SB on R1, and barrier on L2+R1). That's more due to me being a doof, but when a companion is about to fall, and I can save them with a barrier, the last thing I want is to pull out my blade in the middle of nowhere!
Despair demons as a melee character. *shakes fist*

Another common one is Dorians spirit mark ability, having to wait around for the giant to die before you can collect your loot is really annoying and has often had me cursing the screen!

Same here, don't even spec that ability for Dorian anymore. Now taking him out on quests is fun again.
I've been having trouble, particularly in this PT, with my mapped abilities trading places. It's frustrating when I'm trying to land a Mighty Blow and end up taunting the enemy instead. Not that i mind taunting them but, but not after I just grappled them and kicked them in the ... armor. Upgraded Mighty Blow gets a huge damage bonus on a knocked down opponent.
Speaking of grappling
... using that on a despair demon is totally worth it.

Ha, no wonder he looks so glum lately, no one will let him indulge his puppet-master hobbies.
I always have the same talents in the same places, so it gets really confusing when they're not there. Especially because I keep dipping into my Rift mage at the same time as my KE, and the Rifty has barrier on R1. It makes the Inquisitor look like such a boob when they're using all the wrong talents! I can almost feel the companions side-eyeing me. ![]()
I must remember that for my warrior! I never got the other chain talent for my DW rogue, but I think I'll have to in future. Damned flying demons. ![]()

This has been a problem since Origins. Your PC starts fights at the end of conversations, right in the thick of it, even if they're squishy characters.

Grappling Hook animation and effect
Sure it may turn me a little on to see my human male pull another man from 20 meters away so effortlessly, but LOL.
What's odd is that nugs are immune to being pulled.
Winter's Stillness being broken by some spells
Arcane Barrage and Fire Mine break the Winter Stillness effect.
Sure you get a cooldown reduction when it comes back, but the hardcore gamer in me is like: "I NEVER WANTED THIS".
Dragonbone has the most atrocious orange color when used in crafting
Why is the top-tier crafting item not a more neutral color that works with everything... like white, obsidian, silver, or grey. The current orange color is just...
It's good that you can cover up the orange bits with your gauntlets and use a masterwork to override the color, but this doesn't often work with weapons.
Open Coat jutting out of all crafted gear:
They often look good from the front. Then you turn to the side and it looks weird as fk.

Hmm, I dunno if could have two (or more) games going at once
Grapple and Chain is a fantastic ability. Not only does it rein in despair demons, but it also works on mages and barriers are powerless against it. It's good for stray wolves, hounds, hyenas... anything that likes to chase other critters I guess. Except bears.
Not working on bears could count as a peeve right? To keep it on-topic of course

Rams. (And other prey animals one hunts for leather.)
Your grappling chain never works on them, despite their small stature. You've aggro'd them? Be prepared to chase them to the ass-end of your current zone. Disengage to actually get stuff done? Expect them to repeatedly circle back so you're stuck in combat until you're return to chasing them to the etc etc.
A mage can handle them, assuming they're not constantly flitting through trees (the targets I mean, Solas isn't THAT elfy).
An archer's will miss as every ram has been taught to serpentine! Serpentine! A melee rogue can still equip a bow to help out. Fortunate, because the rogue's chain closer's finish animation is long enough the ram will be out of reach again by the time it finishes.
But maker help you if you're a warrior. The grappling chain... it does nothing...!
Oh and for people waiting for Dorian, don't. You can cancel Spirit Mark early, whenever you need. (Fortunately, else the upgrade for making them last a minute would be headdesk worthy).

Why... why is everything so shiny?
It's like Hawke sacrificed Sebastian to the old gods and his armour exploded and covered the world. Solas's head is freaking blinding me, and my elf looks like she's huffing gold paint and it's staining her lips.
This so much. They went crazy with gloss and with water sheen or water running down walls. I went into a few buildings and it was beautiful and sunny out but the walls inside were dripping with water.

This and the bears in Hinterlands at the far east camp. Every damn time I went to set up camp a bear would show up.

Ugh the armor options in general! Is leather the big fashion item this year? I want plate, full plate for my warriors. Having some different options is nice but half the time the nicer armors were weaker than the top tier items. At the end I was crafting stuff based on look rather than stats.
Also another one for me - let's put aside the challenges with the character creator in general - I could forgive 99% of them if I had the option to save a template so I could go back and tweak one or two things without having to try and make the character completely over because I forgot to take lip shine off! Also being able to share saved templates.

The Orleasian soldiers in the Exalted Plains bug me because it seems like they just have 2 or 3 VAs saying the very same thing over and over and over...you can go 3 steps and hear another NPC say the same thing in the same voice. I'd rather nobody say anything than to hear the same thing so often.
I'm mentioned this several times (and it hasn't been fixed yet!)

but I think the new improved infirmary is a sick joke. Makes me embarrassed to be the IQ, if I don't have any more power than that...to build such a shoddy infirmary and to take such lousy care of the sick and dying.

Or how about when you're standing next to them and a random pack of wolves attack your party. The NPC's don't react at all.

There's also the opposite reaction to this. I was standing just inside Crestwood near the exit gate where the undead were spawning and I had gone afk, I came back and there was loot all over the place outside the gate.

Iron Bull makes mention of her armor in general buring some banter - commenting that it's good she doesn't try accentuate her bosom with her armor because of the failing in it's protectiveness - one good hit mid chest and it caves in.

Shoot a snoufleur at distance. Huff over to it for the fine skin loot. NO loot. Turn around... oh, yes, there it is way back where I was standing when I shot it. Scotty must have beamed it to me as an act of kindness but forgot to tell me.

If I tried more than one during the proper story, I don't think I could keep their personalities straight. I think I tried during DA2, and just ended up with a diplomatic Hawke acting very out of character for a while (then she had anger management and got better!).
Gah, are bears like the super-villains of the world? So powerful and always where you least want to see them. Bears are definitely a peeve in general! They show up everywhere, unless you're specifically looking for them. Tricky buggers. Even Cass can't grapple a bear? ![]()

I can relate. I killed half a dozen great bears on my first visit to the Emerald Graves, but when I wanted to get myself some great bear hides later, I couldn't find one for two hours.
Yeah. DAI's bears are evil bastards.

Storm Coast:
Getting the red templar key. The first time I went through this I looted everything. Someone said you need to go to the beginning and look around. I ran back to the initial cave leading to the area where I fought nothing and there was some loot with it on there. Next playthrough, I am paying attention to everything as I begin this quest. I get just through the first cave to the boats and I look behind me, and there is loot on the ground. I have fought nothing - it just appeared - and the key is on it. Huh?!
