Not yelling at my screen, but I hate the lighting in character creation. My eyelashes always turn out to be a different color than I'd intended and even the lightest make-up makes the quizzy look like a clown. The lighting returns during crafting; you can barely detect color changes. (For that matter, I hate the default putty gray color most armor has.)

They definitely need to let you preview your character in a cutscene or something before finalizing your choice. However with the black emporium coming it will help with this. Still, it should have been something that was put in orginally. Nothing worse than spending an hour making a character to realize you want to change one item and have to start from scratch. Even the ability to save the template would have been more than enough!

Oh my lord, so much this. I chose black hair for my Dalish... why are her eyelashes green? And her eyebrows have a blue-green sheen?

 

Except in bright sunlight, her hair turns brown... but her eyebrows are still blue-green. It took me three tries to get her eyes the particular shade of violet-blue I wanted (they kept coming out pink... eurgh).

 

Plus the make up is super subtle in the CC. When I made her the first time, I thought the default was no makeup, which was fine, then the game started and why is she wearing faded puke green eyeshadow? What's with the blush? She looks like a clown!

 

Making your Hawke is worse. If you zoom out it's completely in the shadows. Blech.

Touché. But I'll have you know that Mike Hawke can still get the job done as well as any other man in Thedas.

I don't normally yell at screens but for those frigging ballerina demons I make an exception. And for all the bears appearing out of thin air while I have just barely survived another. Bonus if lyrium smugglers decide to stab me in the process. I hate that part of the Hinterlands.

Doorways being blocked, I can handle- just about, but there are two things:

 

1.That goddamn Requisition officer. If I would use mods, I would use one that would cut her legs off, and she could stand in the corner yelling "come here I'll bite your legs off, Inquisitor" all she liked. The buzzkill kills banter and I spend time trying to fadestep away from her before she does her flank attack.

 

2. When enemy kills one member of your team, they may yell "Should have used tactics!". It makes me so annoyed, that I need to get tea or other hot beverage to soothe my nerves. It annoys me for a simple reason that the Tactics screen in this game is unexistent If I had DA1 or 2 tactics screen, I would have no recently deceased companions at that point.

Naturally I understand that it refers to general tactics, but I am a person of extremes and overkill, and this is apparently my achilles heel, and it is a reminder what I miss a lot from the previous games.

Seriously. Did the Carta hire the bears as muscle? They're both tough on low-level parties. Do they really need to spawn at the same time? Last night I fought: 1) bandits who were attacked by 2) a pack of wolves who were attacked by 3) two--not one--two--bears who were attacked by 4) two assassins. All we needed were ballerina and teleporting demons to make it a real party. I just stared at my screen and thought, "Are you freaking kidding me?" Somehow my Quizzy survived while all the rest died. Hooray for stealth archers. We went through all our healing and restoration potions. By the end My Quizzy was hanging on by a thread.

Hearing my wife yell at the screen because her party refuses to hold has become a common occurence!

 

 

This would be a nice addition for sure. The nightscape is one of the reasons I love Hissing Wastes despite most people hating it.

I must be a weirdo because I like the hissing Wastes with its night sky full of stars and giant moon.  And you can see all the glowing fires in the distance.  Sure there is a lot of sand, but it's kinda neat at night.

 

Also, I thought I was going insane with that hold thing.  Like I wasn't using it correctly.

-Jumping to get that one shard in Hinterlands,  the whole affair is crafted to test how stubborn you are.

 

-The fact that I can't jump off the battlements.

 

-The fact that sometimes I lose my cursor.

If you mean that one half way up the stone pillar type thing in Lady Shayna's valley I TOTALLY agree, it is always the last Shard I collect - pure rage moment !!!!!!

Not getting experience points for killing an enemy too many levels lower than you.

If you play thoroughly through the areas I have found you end up with at least 1 to 2 areas you get no bloody experience for. Why don't the enemies level's just scale to yours????

I have a few.
After waiting for several hours and then FINALLY getting companion banter the Requisition Officer interrupts them.
Companions knocking me off ledges and the Temple of Mythal puzzle tiles.
Companions blocking ladders and doorways. Move, ****, get out the way.
My Inquisitor getting stuck inside of a dragon.
The warriors charging off cliffs and then the rogues backflipping of them.
That one shard in the Hinterlands.
That hideous orange of dragon.
The companions running AHEAD of me as if they know where we're going.
That chest in Suledin Keep, and how when around it my companions get stuck inside a hidden wall/room/cave/thing.
Solas and Dorian thinking that they're tanks.
Solas not telling me WHERE the damn "artifact of my people" is.
Using leaping shot and flying all the way across the map.
Cassandra trying to "help" me fight an enemy by not fighting hers and bringing them over.
Bears. So many.
"I hate waiting to die." Then, I don't know, maybe GO DIE? Or just leave, you're not helping anyway.
When an enemy is trying to attack me and my party acts like nothing is happening.
Trying to get up stupid hills and stupid mountains. Especially when it turns out there's a path somewhere.
Cassandra trying to use grapple on Giants and dragons.
The way everyone walks in cut scenes.
The Hold Button does not work.
Being injured by grass??
The dead/injured/whatever people in Skyhold. Does no one care? Can someone at least clean up this mess?
Having to find quarries and logging sites. Unless you have the scouts perk.
Mounts stopping when they walk on ground that's slightly elevated.
...and I'm going to stop there.

Every time an NPC does something completely moronic, nonsensical and self-destructive given their own interests, and I'm not allowed to stop him/her or point it out in dialogue.

My pet peeve, the fact that the AI has a wonky sense of self preservation. My mages will waste health potion after health potion to avoid dying instead of using Fade Step which is set as a preferred ability, the rogues will at least use Stealth but never to retreat or reposition but rather stealthing just because they can.

Attempts at using the hold position without any luck.

 

The npc's who refuse to listen to reason.. namely everyone who continues to think that my character is the herald despite all of my attempts to correct them. Leliana and Josephine are actively working against me on my quest to spread truth/facts/probability.

 

I wish my char would just flatly say "no" as soon as someone says the word "herald".

Don't use the command. Just right-click on their current position. They will pretty much stick there.

I hope they invest more on the companions next game. It is going to be funny if I turn to like Pillars of Eternity companions a lot more.

Skyhold not being completely fixed. Holes in the roof? Large hole in the wall on your way to the warroom. The area on the way to my quarters is a mess. Come on!

Playing DAI with mouse and keyboard when it's clear the game was optimized for controllers.

This and pretty much every time Vivienne opens her mouth.

 

No attributes, the tactical combat, limited potions, no auto attack, no tactics, no right click to loot option, no two mouse button walk... dual wield rogues ... mmo features in singleplayer game.. Frames per second... issues with stutter... crashes to the desktop...

 

Wow a lot in this game..

I keep trying to imagine what her hair must look like if it's unbraided. Does she have this thin line of long hair to braid? Eventually I decided it must be a braided headband. Idiotic hairstyle.
