This could be a new Neverwinter nights type game.

Fast paced gameplay, but you can pause. Sounds ideal to me.

reminds me of the guys claiming that hammering spacebar every second is basically turn based. yeah, right.

btw my glass ain't always more empty than full, but i am a bit shocked. after seeing the screens i already imagined a crpg lite on rules. the video shows something much worse.

They have released another video, this time showing the DM interface:

I don't know.  That locked angle is enough to keep me from being thrilled. Panning, zooming, and rotating isn't enough.  It was enough 15 years ago, but not anymore.

For me, the camera angle was good enough 15 years ago, and also good enough 1 year ago with Divinity: Original Sin, and also good enough today with Pillars of Eternity.  I think it'll still be good enough for me whenever this comes out.

Wow so many questions.

Looks like they only have one row of quick action buttons. Can people modify the gui like NWN2?

No quick heal etc..

When the dm set traps / secret door DC it look like he was limited to a set amount of choices.

The monsters did not have hp bar on his screen so he could have a quick look at everyone on the battlefields current hps(maybe a option).

I did not see any option for him to quick talk through the monsters/items/placables. Can be done in NWN1.

Many more question, just some off the top of my head.

Do not like the DM can be seen and the threat even in a quick adventure game. I look forward to campaign video, that will be the one we all be waiting on.

I'm actually fine with a locked camera angle; fiddling with the camera is one of the big nuisances of games like Skyrim. But if the camera will pan and zoom, that's a plus.

I don't care about any cameras. People say NWN2 had weird camera but I got used to it. What I find though atrocious in this video is the voice acting. My hope is that it's not the final, since I see a "development build" written there on the top of the screen. However, I find really cool that companions talk in a P&P style. While watching this I thought the guy had a real party there.

OK, I read somewhere, someone wrote, that all voices in these first videos are done by the in-studio voice actor. I don't know how true is this but it would make sense :D.

I hate the idea that players can see the Dungeon Master cursor. It also doens't make sense to limit the DM's actions through a 'DM Threat' loot pool. This isn't a DM Client... its a sort of evil overmind game for playing against the regular players. :/

Its a fine game by itself in all fairness. It just isn't a D&D sandbox. Its not like NWN1 / NWN2 / BG games.
