Some modders won't place their mods on the Nexus, for numerous and very valid reasons. An alternate omnibus site to gather up links to all the DA:I mods that are only available on various blogs and such would have been a great asset to the community.

What's wrong with the Nexus?
Not that I feel strongly either pro or against anybody choosing to upload elsewhere. It is very handy though as a consumer for almost everything being easily available on the same site if you start looking for mods for a game.

I am an avid fan of Nexus, and it's my "go-to" site for mods. However, the issue many have with Nexus, is they have a zero-tolerance policy. If you come even close to violating their rules, they will perma-ban you.

Considering the amount of nude skyrim mods on there. The rules can hardly be that bad then.

True, but that's one of the problems. Someone uploads a picture from an adult mod, but forgets to flag it as mature, they get a warning if they are lucky. And if they complain or argue with the moderator, insta-perma ban. And it's up to the interpretation of the moderators on whether you are violating the rules. I've seen pictures that flagged non-adult, but should be marked mature and no moderator action occurs. And I've also seen images that appear non-adult that resulted in a ban.
They are also a bit odd about ownership. You use someone else's software to modify someone else's game, and somehow that becomes your property. A lot of modders will scream that you stole the mod or it isn't yours. Two mods show up at the same time that are similar, someone is going down in flames.

That's their perogative. If they want exposure, they should get over whatever it is and post it on the Nexus. That's where most everyone goes.
The only thing they really don't allow is ripped content taken from other games.
