What would you have thought about the game if the ending was perfectly satisfying?

The reapers harvest all life, synthetic and organic.

You know...this is OT but that is another retcon I did not appreciate.

Sovereign told the geth, or the geth learned from Sovereign, that the reapers harvest all organic life. And that synthetic life was outside the plans of the reapers.

This kind of made sense why the geth (or some of them) would ally with the reapers. I mean, we could chalk it up to reaper indoctrination on the geth...but indoctrination was only fit meant for organic minds - not synthetic.

Idk...that just irked me, and I was already sufficiently irked...

As far as I am concerned, the game was scoring a 9 to 9.5 out of 10 all the way to the start of Priority Earth.  Only nitpicks with how the Journal system got sidelined were holding the game back from a 10 out of 10 in my book.

With the ending, it fell to 8.5... and then I became an Indoctrination Theorist and it rose back to 9 to 9.5 out of 10 as I began to recognize the subtle as sin subtexts woven throughout the story.

Change the ending to something universally satisfying and ME3 would hold its rank for me.

Also, one must understand that a bad BioWare game is still better than 90+% of the rest of the AAA game market.  ME3 is by no means a bad BioWare game.

There was also that one time (several times, actually) that Harbinger outright dismissed harvesting the other races outside of humanity and the Asari.

To be fair he could have just as easily been referring to harvesting them as "capital" ships. Only one species during each cycle is chosen for the capital reaper ships.

That being said the taunts don't really make a lot of sense anyway.
