The lack of a storage chest might have been just an oversight, though. In all fairness.

They were so busy making bald headed hair styles that they forgot the storage chest.

My game is still stuck due to a bug. Been that way since December....So no...bugs aren't fixed.

Hence why I said for the most part, not all the bugs. Development will take time, time in which they will still be fixing bugs. Doing one task at a time when they have multiple teams will only make fans who haven't hit the bugs that are left impatient

On one hand, I am really looking forward to the DLC be it storyline or otherwise but on the other hand, I know how it is like to have a gamebreaking bug or somewhat like that and worrying that DLC might mean less attention on solving said bugs.

Speaking of which, they should probably patch the post-game bugs before considering releasing post-game DLC.

I'm starting to think Varric's sudden disappearance might have something to do with my missing furniture. No, Varric, I know the game's over but that still mine! Why would you even need a throne shaped like a golden phallic object?

If it turns out to be the Crestwood attack that is the Story bit in the DLC; I will puke. They told us that bit was already in the game 2 days before release.

Sorry, I can't believe that for a second. They fill the game up with junk, they include inventory expansion perks, and they just forget to include a storage chest?

The junk's supposed to be sold, isn't it?

I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong. After all, they did the exact same thing in DA:O.

Thanks for this post OP and for the source, it is much appreciated.

Sad thing is that I should be super excited about it just as I once used to be when any of their other DLCs in the past were announced, but I am not. I still love the Dragon Age franchise and the lore. I will definitely follow the DLC and will check it out, but there is something about DAI that made me a bit skeptical (kind of an understatement) about anything BW related.

Well, I was applying the term broadly. So, for clarity's sake, let's change it to "stuff."

What kind of DLC do you expect?

Post-ending DLC will be weird since many companions could have left you.. moreover you don't have any dialogue in Skyhold after the epilogue, so unless they won't magically reactivate the companion dialogues I don't think it would be nice to play a cut game

Middle story DLC could be problematic for people who have already finished their playthorugh. Personally I don't like to play a piece of story which is supposed to have already take place, I did it with Return to Ostargar as if it was a "flashback" but I didn't like the feeling

Therefore my guess is that they will go for side stories DLC, something like "Golems of Amgarrak" or "Witch hunt" or the DA2 DLC

(to MaxQuartiroli) I'm hoping that a potential "Wolf Hunt" dlc will not be the final dlc released because of how long we could potentially end up waiting for it but I can also see it making sense depending on what those other dlc are.

I do hope that if we get a "Golems of Amgarrak"-style dlc that it'll be a bit more interesting. I like the idea of it; choosing to accompany someone on a dangerous mission without your companions but it ended up feeling rather short to me and despite everything in it, not as interesting to me as the other dlcs.

Was anyone a bit worried about releasing hundreds of flesh-made abominations and never having a follow-up on it?

Meh, too late for a storage chest now.  The one time when I felt like I could really use one was when I got the fancy attire after the Wicked Hearts quest, would have liked to store it for RPing later, then I found out you could craft your own armored version that looked exactly the same.

Btw do we know if the storage chest is a part of the paid DLC (which would be a slap in the face) or will it come free in some patch?

And being locked out of dialogues post-game doesn't really matter, companions in previous DA games didn't comment the outcomes of DLC either IIRC. They can just start it of with a cutscene that will involve various companions and advisors, etc and then different party members will have some comments during the DLC itself and at its ending.

(to Jeffry) They could also stick us with different people for some of the dlc like they've done before, though I would very much love a dlc like "Mark of the Assassin" with the companions' banter during the failed rescue attempt and I would be a bit disappointed if we get a chance to confront Solas with our companions absent. C'mon, the reactions to the reveal could be glorious.

Bioware is working on the first Story DLC! No word on what it'll be about, but they have confirmed that a storage chest and a post-prologue way to change your face will be included.

Honestly, no matter what this will be about (the Solasmancers' Wolf Hunt will probably be left for last T~T) I'm hoping for at least one battle where your entire party helps. Origins had it, when your camp is attacked be Shrieks and then just before you fight your way through Denerim. 2, for all that people didn't like it, gave a great feeling when you kill Orsino and Meredith with everyone backing you up. Heck, Zevran joined in, too, which had me grinning like an idiot.

I feel that Bioware could expand on that. There was a great opportunity when Haven was attacked, but no epic battle backed by all your friends occurred. Perhaps someone attacks Skyhold? I'd like someone to attack Skyhold of it means all our friends fight with us.

(Yes, I made this post in a discussion forum, but might as well get my idea heard, since they have heard at least some of the suggestions :) Cheers)

I just want a serious emphasis on story. No more goddamn fetch quests. Give us cut scenes and dialogue. Maybe a city? With actual NPCs living in it? I think there's like 100 people in the entire game right now.

Some zones have populations of like 5. Hell, the dalish camp which they talked about finding and I was really psyched to see was ACTUALLY 5. It wasn't a clan, it was one tiny family.

No more wilderness, for god's sakes...

Am I the only one that feel bad?

Storage and face-change in a paid DLC? If it is true, it's a serious backtrack...

This is what my future EA purchases hinge on, as well.  If, after all this time, the major issues with the game are not addressed, and instead a couple of QoL improvements are sold as an add-on, that's the end of the road here for me.

HOWEVER,

I'm not yet certain this will be part of a paid DLC package.  This is one of the reasons Twitter sucks.  I hold out hope that EA will be doing the right thing here solely because of this:

As massive as Dragon Age: Inquisition already is, there were some things the team wanted to get in at launch, but we just ran out of time. We’ll be creating these new features and content and adding them into your game over time because we love our DAI players.

which can be found near the bottom of http://blog.bioware....for-dragon-age/ .

I think at this point, leaving major issues unaddressed and instead charging for a couple of features - features that, not too many years ago, would have been obviously part of the basic game - would be Exeunt, Stage Left for many.  Definitely for myself.  It would not be the first time EA made such an unfortunate decision, but even so, I'm not really sure that's where they're going with this.

Patch 5 has been mentioned the same way as the Twitter convo describes it - very large, in the works, can't say much because details not locked down yet.  I think there's a very good chance these items will be part of Patch 5, and that Patch 5 is going to be somewhat humongous.

I would love to be able to confirm that from a company source ;P.

I felt a lot more connected to the Elves in Origins; felt their presence in the world, and saw their place in the lore.  Imagine coming to the world of DA via Inquisition: there were some elves long ago that built a lot of stuff.  It's all wrecked now.  Some elves live in carts on the plains.  I hear they're oppressed, but they seem as fine as any other group of people I see.  I hear some people talk about "city elves" having it bad, but I see neither cities nor elves, so I didn't really retain that information and it's not part of the game world any more.

With an Elven inquisitor, there's some talk about your opportunity to "make things better" for the Elvhen, but it goes nowhere.  It's mentioned, you can choose a Dalish banner for Skyhold, and not much more ever comes of it.  Or is even mentioned.  Hell, you have to do Fetch quests for the Dalish as a Dalish to even get them to sell you stuff.  Wth?

I hope the 5th Patch fixes the annoying bug on the XB1 version that patch 4 created that prevents Under Her Skin from being completed everytime you try entering Vicinus's door it kicks you back to the XBox Menu.

We are not interested in the DLC with how Buggy the game is and how the Dev's have not listened to the real complaints nor fixed the real underlying issues with the last gen consoles.

Different preferences, someone would like the basic game to be more polished and then it would be good to add more content, someone doesn't care about the state of the game that much and will be happy just with more buggy content :P

This. As long as I can play the game (I'm on my 5th run, with only running into a game breading bug once... And then I just reverted my save and it went smoothly) I don't care about the rest of the bugs. I can live with bugs as long as I have a good story
