There's a lot of downtime in ME3MP -- waiting for someone to finish a game and join your lobby, waiting in the lobby for someone to level up / gear up, etc. It would be cool if we had some mini-games to play while waiting. Post your crazy but semi-serious ideas here... we know this is never going to happen but try to keep it vaguely plausible.

Side Scrolling 16-Bit Style ME Shooter

 

Commander Shepard or your favorite MP character rendered as a glorious sprite. Enemies are also glorious sprites. Guns that shoot out little dots instead of bullets. You can only move left or right on a 2-D battlefield battle... line?... uh, anyway... but you can dodge-roll to avoid the inexplicably slow moving enemy projectiles.

Admit it: this was the best part of ME2. And it would be super easy to drop in, gun down a bunch of those space monkeys, and drop out to the lobby when people were ready.

Admit it: this was the best part of ME1. Could have an arbitrarily large number of disks making the game effectively endless, and you just plink away at it a little bit at a time in between matches.

Retro minigames are always fun.  How about a krogan-themed version of Tapper?  Serve ryncol to the thirsty warriors.  If you're too slow, you get headbutted.

Super Mass Effect Mako Racing

 

Want to race around S-curves in the only vehicle that handles worse than Halo's Warthog? Now you can! In this exciting minigame, you gain points for every second you spend on the track, facing the right direction, and not using the Mako's jump-jets. Also there are bananas and turtle shells for some reason.

There could be a cheat code.  Press up-up-down-down-left-right-left-right-B-A-start and you get to fly the Hammerhead instead.

Ooh, just thought of something. In addition to being able to play the minigames in the lobby while waiting for a match to start, you should be able to play them during a game if you bleed out and go into spectator mode. Because who wants to watch other people play the actual ME3MP when you could play a sweet minigame, amirite?
