The game has been out for a while now and people are getting good equipment.  Perilous isn't what it once was and it would be nice to make better money.

IMO its past time for more content.

The ability to choose the enemy

The ability to choose the map

More maps

More items/characters

DA:I's version of Platinum.  I know this isn't ME3, but I figure they got another "card" up their sleeve.

Could also give us Darkspawn enemies.

The patch (for consoles at least) was good and really helped the game IMO.  The RTC does EVERY time now. It seems they took the required number of deaths down by 1?  Seems there is a horror left sometimes...IDC as long as its fixed and for the games I have played it is.

I wouldn't mind a platinum difficulty if it came with an easier way to obtain loot.

Bioware hasn't solved the ranged>>>>>>>>>>>melee issue (Arcade Warrior and immortal button lego aside). Any higher difficulty level with the current system will just result in more and more people using characters that stay far as hell away from enemies and just mowing them down with spells and arrows.

I would much rather bioware un-obsoletes routine and threatening difficulty levels through intelligent balance changes before trying to add another difficulty level, but sadly I no longer feel they have the intelligence to do so. They are probably going to release a new difficulty level, but I suggest they call it the Cheese Difficulty, because it will be difficulty level for answering the question of who is cheesier, you or the enemy.

Can we just buy whatever item we want already? Actually put use to the gold we collect?

This is my question.

We should definitely be able to select the enemy.

Lots of time for that, I would assume they will have a higher level sooner or later but I believe the people that are walking though perilous now are in the vast minority.

Perilous is difficult with the wrong team composition

Much wisdom in these words. If bioware took balance seriously, and changed up some game mechanics such as flat damage reduction from armor rating, it is possible for all three difficulty levels to be fun, and for perilous to be really challenging.

Poor Katari on "Platinum" difficulty.

I don´t know if is wise to add new difficulty, when classes are so unbalanced. Some can solo Perilous with breeze and some have problems on Threatening with full team.

Today´s Perilous is stacked with AWs ,Elementalists and Archers.I don´t remember when I last time saw a Reaver or Katari on Perilous(mostly instant vote kick).

I think Biower should first fix matchmaking issues, balance classes and then add  new content (new maps, enemy factions, modes,Dragons, etc).

Edit

And btw,I don´t call for nerfing of mages.I think they are fun to play, but I would like that Guard is brought to the level of Barrier.

Well I just started playing Perilous regularly this past week so it's still a little difficult for me, I don't have all the good weapons and accessories yet either though. But if they added another difficulty it wouldn't bother me as long as they balanced some of the characters better.

Also adding some new weapons, schematics, enemies, and maps would be nice as well. I still really want one of the bosses to be a dragon.

This is my question.

You know when this game was gearing up to come out and they said it has "weapon crafting"  I got excited.  And then to have to loot system WORSE than ME3? Dear god.

I think the random loot crap is here to stay.  It's terrible and I hope it disappears, but I don't know.....

I still enjoy the game, but that is one of the worst downers.

Platinum with multi-faction enemies.

About gear:

I think they should make more diverse and viable weapons like in me3mp.  You know, you have javelin, ppr, claymore, arc pistol, venom, etc.  Each weapon functions very differently but synergize well with different builds.

In DAMP, you get the caliban, sulevin, fury, griffon, redbirth, and you can pretty much salvage the rest of your inventory.   There's no diversity in weapon functions (not like in me3mp).

You are most likely correct sir. They aren't going to make fundamental changes now. We are stuck with what we have; maybe we'll get some new maps or enemies but that's probably it. If we even get that.

Perilous is difficult with the wrong team composition

And having the right group comp is very rare.  Even having the right comp and having good players it still falls apart often if all the players are not on the same wavelength re collecting treasure.  I have no doubt that teams that play together often would find it easy.  Also if you get really lucky in pugs it is doable to easy, but cohesive pug groups are the exception not the rule.

No, it is too early in the lifecycle. Prehaps sometime in april when they have released more classes to play.

I think if they imposed a level restriction on the weapons, then all those useless purples would actually have value and be worth keeping around.  If when I promoted my Archer I had to un-equip my PBM/Griffon and actually use a level appropriate bow, it would make routine less trivial.  Sure, with the gradual accumulation of stats from promotes even level-restricted gear won't prevent the content from becoming too easy--but it would slow the process down.

Massive storage space issues though.  Also not a fan of this at all.  If I have something then I should be able to use it.

I hear what you are saying, and though my wait (for decent gear) wasn't as long as some of the RNG horror stories I've read about, I still feel like I "earned" my PBM (and other shinies) with how long I had to grind for it.  However, if the cost of being overpowered in routine (and perhaps threatening) is eventually burning out from disinterest/lack of challenge, then I might consider some level restrictions on the gear to delay that process.

Nobody can force me to promote, so if I felt that strongly that I had to use my PBM or else nothing, then I could just remain at 20.  I'd eventually lag behind those players who regularly promote, but the choice would be mine to make.  It isn't like it wouldn't be in my inventory; I'd just have to use other weapons temporarily while leveling to 20 again.  Maybe it would be nice to get a chance to use all those different lowbie unique weapons (that I never had until it was "too late"), to really get the most out of them and appreciate them without feeling like I was deliberately gimping myself by not using the absolute BiS.  Even the levels up to 20 would have meaning again, knowing that as soon as I hit xx I could use yy again.  I dunno man, I'm not married to the idea, just something that I had thought about.

As far as the storage issue is concerned, what can I say?  Yes, we need more storage (and less mandatory crap taking up inventory slots [I'm looking at you, Alchemist armors... ]), but if they refuse to give it to use or it is somehow technically not feasible then that would just add another level of difficulty to the game.  At the risk of sounding like a freshman econ textbook, scarcity and choice would just be something else we had to deal with.  Maybe I don't actually need to have that Gift the of Mountain Father taking up an inventory slot if it is going to cost me not having something else I valued even more.

Anyway, /end blah blah blah.

Gonna go kill some ****.

I still think the reward-difficulty ratio for Perilous isn't all together worth it when Threatening is difficult, but faster and pays just a little less than a Perilous run does.

If another difficulty were released with the current state of class balance, it would bring the Legionnaire back to being useful due to his threat abilities and we would end up with most decent groups being a combination of these classes:

-Legionnaire

-Arcane Warrior

-Elementalist

-Keeper

I play Katari in Perilous pugs fairly frequently and I have only thus far been vote-kicked once.  I don't think it's as horrible as some make it out to be (if you have solid gear, obviously) but there's no denying it feels like you're playing hard-mode that way

I'm ashamed to admit there have been matches where I was virtually useless on the Katari in Perilous due to a lackluster connection to the host.  The margin for error is pretty slim for the big guy, unlike essentially all ranged.

There's still a lot of other work I'd like to see done on the game first before we get our Platinum difficulty.  I'm sure we'll see that at some point this year though.
