I'm starting to think I am the only one who wasn't ninjamanced by Leliana and I'm starting to feel left out because of it too

Just roll an elf lady and be friendly  I think all you have to do to romance her is accept her compliment about the hair. (not really sure, maybe was just a bug)

I have and the only person that ninjamances me is Alistair even when I only gain approval through gifts and actions and don't even speak to him. I wish Leliana was who I had to worry about might feel less like kicking a stubborn puppy then.

Do you play on the PC? If you do, there's a mod that restores some of the dialog that actually let's you be a nice person when turning down his advances XD (one conversation that stands out is when you give him his mother's amulet, and he's all "You remembered??" and your original three options are "Of course you're special to me!/ Let's not make more of this than it is..../ Sorry? Did you say something?". The mod adds something like "Well yeah we're friends", which should have been there in the first place imo :P )

With Leliana, I've never been ninjamanced either. You just accept that compliment and tell her she's a good friend and she never hits on you again (that's been my experience). I rolled a Warden for her, and it was interesting in that I felt like I had to be kinda blunt when romancing her - like I asked her if she "often enjoyed the company of other women" and then I think I said that my warden did too.

It may be different for the male warden though - it's been years since I played one, and he was all for Morrigan anyway XD

Anyhow, if you go back and play Origins anytime, hope that helps ^.^

Leliana is bisexual & prefers women over men romantically, she isn't gonna get changed to straight only, im not sure why your so against bi female characters when they can be romanced by both genders

Yes, she is non straight in her current form, that is why I have mentiond blood magic. Such are my preferences.

Gif aside and with no sarcasm intended but it is damn frighting how much you sound like a serial killer a friend of mine is writing. I would ask about why it has to be straight only why bisexual doesn't work but I really don't think I want to know.

It is the second time you mention it. I can assure you that sounds are very often misleading, I'm a good boy. Why? because I prefer straight female companions. I'm a simple man.

Why do you remain un-banned? Seriously. What the ****.

Most probably because I behave well.

I agree on both. Liara is not my cup of tea, and not only because I prefer ethero romance to lesbian (I prefer playng female characters that romance man, and males only if I find a female romance very compelling) she is the companion I liked less in absolute, and I found quite creepy having her obsessed over Shepard. Even when she/he was in another happy relationship.

I would not like a relationship pre-game too. Unless is like in Origins where the potential LI material is killed just at the start or get out of the way (Tamlen, Nelaros, Gorim) so the protagonist can move on during the game.

Whether you like Liara or not for male (or female) characters she is (a) not part of the Alliance crew so there is no question of liaison with a junior rank and discipline issues, (B) Liara is the one that saves Shepard's ass big time after he is spaced, and grabs his remains from those who would abuse them ensuring that he has a chance at rebirth, and © her character relates with Shepard as an equal not an alliance subordinate. As far as I am concerned Ashley is nothing more than a grunt. Indeed she confesses this at one point, and for the life of me apart from combat experiences they have little in common. Basically Ashley and Kaidan are pretty much 5th wheels in ME3 anyway. As for a femshep? Well there are options other than Kaidan(if you saved him in ME1) who is a whiney ass, but for Male Sheps , avoiding any relationships on board is probably the best course of acion. Kaidan, Steve Cortez? Not my bag as I will always play male herteros

Oh and Chardonnay if you are going to quote me, do it accurately, and place it in context. if you fail at that which you have, placing your own prejudices first isn't a response at all it's simply a statement. I have no problem if you want to space Liara, or anyone, you are entitled to your views, but I don't share them,. You can dump who you like, doesn't bother me, but taking a such a view on a character that is integral to the whole ME plot (and maybe for ME4 as she lives for 1000 years) to me means that you should stick to fps's or games like Skyrim where you can dump followers/companions at whim, or simply allow them to get killed

Why force a bisexual woman to become straight when you can easily romance as a male PC

Because I would prefer her to be straight. I do not enjoy the idea of my female romanceable companion being interested in other females. It does not fit the kind of story I would like to engage in. As I have said, I'm a simple man with simple, traditional flavour taste. Prince and Princess and nothing more.

Your usual desire to enslave a female elf & use torture to break her spirit is hardly a "traditional prince meets princess" love story :?

Mostly I appreciate not having her ninja mancing all my elven ladyes. I hate having to dump her without even having flirted with her.  (really...it was really out of the blue...just after she asked to me how was Alistair under the sheet. Next scene, she declared her love for my elf. Creepy )
I hated seeing the -50 in friendship, and I was quite creeped out, just like with Liara.

I liked much more Leliana in DAI, by the way. always "Maker here, Maker there", but at least there aren't "visions in dreams" and shoes talk. More mature, maybe a little depressed, but much more interesting.

Worst ninjamaces i had were with Alistair & especially Kaidan in ME1, just being nice suddenly made them fall in love & confront me for dating anyone else :? never actually had that happen with Leliana luckily

I were not aware that Leliana is an elf. Also, I do not think that one thread, one topic, one suggestion about one straight female elf companion qualifies as 'my usual'. Then there is also a 'slave' part that I disagree with. If I would want a slave then I would write about it there.

As far as bans are concerned, please, refrain from calling me 'troll'. Personal insults are not tolerated here (at least I have been told so). Blood  ritual capable of altering amorous desires is a lore established use of magic

One? Given that you went on about it for many pages, in multiple threads, including the ever-joyful romp down "we should be able to rape Sera" lane, I think people are entirely justified in their interpretation of your preferences.

No actions that I'm aware of. What I write are my honest opinions.

You mean the thread where you have mentioned it first and continued discussion to derail the thread?(in fact, it is not me who first brings it up, except for the generic 'arranged marriage' concept) I think that we share a polar opposite definition of what and when is 'justified'. I don't also remember'ever joyful romp down'. I'm positive that I have said that I would never use such option myself, but yes, I agree with introduction of darker tones in the world of DA:I and PC choices. Please, keep your facts straight.

Oh, you say the things you say because I make you say them? It seems to me that went on for pages on multiple occasions without my participation. So I hardly said anything "first," since I was responding to you. And I didn't say that you would use the option to rape Sera, I referred to the fact that you went on for 5 pages about how the option should exist, so as you say, "keep your facts straight."

No. You have mentioned the whole 'female elf marriage' first(http://forum.bioware...ons/?p=18472143) and I have kindly continued responding to you out of courtesy, also to straight facts up as you were doing what you are doing now 'pick and corrupt'. Where I come from 3 posts total on 2 pages cannot be qualified as 'went on for 5 pages'. Please, keep your facts straight.

Wait what? In inquisition? Well to be fair, I consider my friends fascination with her a bit too much. I don't really like her base personality, but her evil personality. Otherwise, if I was disappointed by not having a chance with her in inquisition, I'd be even more upset by not having one with Morrigan.. Ahhh.. Morrigan.. =)

I've read his posts hun.  I spend about a month lurking and trust me, you really don't want to know.  Just smile, nod, use the ignore feature and move on.  It's a lot less disturbing that way.   I've seen much worse from that particular poster.  Sad to say, that's tame coming from him.

Hey hey FYI I understand ya guys are.. Really turned off by his commentary and trust me when I say I chuckled genuinely when reading your post here, but.. What is this ignore feature??

I really want to know!!

I was about to go into my nice guy speel but I really need to know about this feature because I find a lot of... Posters I would rather not read initially...

I also prefer my females straight, but eh I'll take left overs I'm not picky especially in this games setting. I always found Leliana to be annoying in the first DA though, so while I did romance her once I believe, I don't think I actually finished that play-through. Plus too back then I wasn't all that interested in hooking up with characters, but now I've come to expect it with the mild, but definite impacts it has in theplay-through, who da thunk it amirite

Ignoring posters is so annoying, much rather be able to see, laugh, then dismiss then miss out entirely

I would not mind her getting in the blood magic accident, maybe she will slip and fall into a cauldron where ritual is brewing that would change her to straight. Additionally, if she did not romance the speechless one then I'm more than welcome to embrace her, for the appearance mostly (but only if she turn straight).

You can find "manage ignore prefs" from your profile and add any member into it, just I did a moment ago. :)

I see nothing 'trollish' about it. These are my preferences and they are most definately not outlandish. I would like to see option to make Leliana straight, the same thing about Dorian, Sera and other characters. DA:I introduced quite a useful tool in the form of blood magic alteration. This would be an easy way to fill the lack of straight female companions for male PC. It is lore positive and simple to implement.

You're sick. ;)
