Stupid question.  Does medi-gel have a range limit on resurrecting allies?  If not I've been doing it wrong for years.

No, no range limit.

If there is a range limit, I have never exceeded it. It's an easy mistake to make. It's only quite recently that I realised you could resurrect in the way you described without using a medi-gel. At least I think that's the way it works - gonna be a but embarrassing, if I'm wrong. Having said that, I never need medi-gel more than 2-3 times a mission, if at all. One odd thing I have found. Sometimes when I have 8 medi-gel in stock, using a medigel doesn't deplete my supply. Anyone have any idea what that's all about?

This may be the "efficiency increase" you get from Dr. Chakwas. I have never really understood what an "efficiency increase" was versus a capacity increase, but maybe that is it.

^This.

The 'efficiency upgrade' seems to give a ~50% chance to not deplete up a medigel 'charge' upon using it.

Honestly, I use even less medigel while playing on Insanity in ME3. I think I use more while I was playing Casual and Normal... that was last year.

general tip...just relax and dont try to force your way thru areas...get to know all the possible combos.. sometimes combat will seem overwhelming ..especially in some of the DLC..so if you keep failing in 1 area..try using different tactics..If you managed to get thru ME2's insanity..3's wont be as difficult

Never tried Vangaurd on Insanity. infiltrator is my favorite class. Black Widow V (time dialiation/damage increase mods) + Maxed out tactical cloak for sniper damage + Maxed out warp ammo for damage. Basically Knock anything out in 2 shots. Maybe 3/4 for Brute/Banshee.

Cover is needed though. Cover if your friend. Cover is your life. Without cover your not going to last long.

I played an Infiltrator on Insanity on my first playthrough, and I liked it a lot.

However, now I'm doing a new run as Vanguard and it's much more fun and dinamyc. You don't need cover as much and you go in face to face with the enemies.

Something I believe it helps a lot in ME3 is the ability to roll. I'm a big God of War fan and I became quite an expert at rolling. Being able to use this in ME3 too helps a lot. With my Infiltrator, I could one shot husks by rolling back, heavy melee rinse repeat.

Now with Pull and Nova it's even easier :D

Look at the post from RedCaesar97:

Very complete information.

Nova cancelling helps sometimes, but it's not like I've mastered it.

I'm also exploring all possible planets as soon as they become available. I just finished Priority: Palaven and I must have more than 110k credits.

I was thinking on buying Wratih ASAP but as I'll need the "upgrade all weapons to lvl 10" trophy, I'll save and use Eviscerator/Claymore.

In ME2, playing on Insanity with my Vanguard, after maybe 50 to 60% of the game, it was spam charge, one shot evenmy with claymore rinse repeat. I even took down the Geth Colossus face to face by doing that. 2 minutes fight without killing any other geth :)

Here are some general tips I've found on playing on Insanity that are very helpful.

* Power Combo at every opportunity you can

* Don't get bogged down by rachni, try to take them out really early.

* Liara dies too much to really be effective. Especially don't take her on missions with Reapers.

* Javik and Kaidan are really handy party members. Garrus is also good

I find Liara to be the most helpful squadmate, so I tend to take her on nearly every mission.

I have a playthrough where she came on every single mission. (She was Shepard's LI.) She hardly ever died. (I didn't count, but it was it only a few.) I have no problems with Liara being squishy and find her too valuable for a biotic Shepard to be just written off.

Same here. I take Liara due to the high possibilities of biotic combos I cam do with her.

I just took down 3 primes on Rannoch pretty much single handedly. I positioned Tali and Liara behind creates and charged the first prime. The other 2 slowly followed. By the time they got to me the forst one was dead. I used my squad's power while I charges and shoot. No nova this time lol
The vanguard is a bit weak at first, but it's been a while now that I pretty much don't need cover anymore. I can even charge a group of 5 or more enemies and I won't die. When I die it's because I got surprised by something I didn't expect, when I get too cocky or when, rarely, charge fails.

I got to the aiming laser part in less than 10 minutes. I remember taking thrice that amount of time with my Infiltrator.

Aside from that it's a festival of charges novas and shotgun pellets :)

Edit: Reaper was killed in probably 1 minute or less. No death. Also much better than on my first time.
