To get this thread back on topic,

OP playing cross gender in an MMORPG makes your fun bits shrink. Fact.

What's even worse is you will not notice they are doing so until it gets pointed out to you. Then you slink away in shame and play WoW on a toilet seat in your parents basement. And grow a neck beard. That's where all the sad and lonely neck beards come from. They were once hot women and men who played cross gendered.

Do not let that happen to you.

The only that is worse is what happens if you play a gnome. But that's for another thread and another day.

So seriously, do people really have a problem with playing the opposite sex?

 

I mean I am a female and I almost always play male Shep's because I like his responses and stuff, plus my ME3 Shep is really cute too,lol. But seriously, I play both genders a lot. In DA:O almost always a female, DA:2 always a male, DA:I so far just females. Some characters "feel" better in certain sexes.

 

Anyway, do whatever feels right to you...I mean it is your game after all.

yes...? Was this ever really a question, since technically any game where you control a girl in it, you are basically playing as a girl.

 

Street Fighter 2, what guy here can say they are adept at playing SF2 but never played as Chun-Li or Cammy in the later versions? What's weird is none of the girls in the games get with a guy so its one of those "don't want to disappoint the male fans by having the women find someone and crush the guys waifu fantasies." lol that's weirder than thread topic.

 

Final Fantasy 7, unless you know some magic trick, every time Tifa, Aerith or Yuffie's time gauge filled up you basically were playing as a girl. In all previous final fantasy games and future ones, this also applies hell in ff13 you played a girl the entire game as its technically Lightning's story, but... when the game breaks the team up, notice that you are able to control a female member of the party most of time. (save for the brief time it was Snow and Hope.)

 

If the question refers to only if whether or not it's okay to make a female character in games in which gender sex plays a key role in the game, the answer is still yes because in those few instances it actually gives replay value to the game since making this choice can affect events and change certain outcomes.

Sorry to frustrate you. Now you can't hit on every female character because now, there is at least one with a super shredded tan aesthetically pleasing muscle man behind her. Haha I wish I could put a profile for when dudes tryna creep.

A Bunz thread!  And I missed it last night at orchestra rehearsal.  Damn...

 

Anyway, yes it's okay to play as the opposite gender.  I've been doing it for decades, as have most other ladygamers.  And I do it in pick up games online a lot because being recognized as female leads to either a) a girl??? you suck! give the controller back to your brother/boyfriend/son!  or a girl??? and you play video games?  can you send me topless pics?  Sometimes on the mic I'll get prepubescent boy, too.  Fun times...  This is not representative of the majority of gaming interactions I've had, of course.  90% of people are charming and polite and frequently other chicks (at least with the ME3 MP), but I'm still cautious.

 

Of course if you're The Bunz, I'm sure that most conversations eventually end with "Please, Bunzie, take me, now!"  We can't all be that good though.  I only hope to one day be half as irresistible as he is.  You've gotta share your secrets, man!
