Let's just hope that the team who made DAI hairstyles are not doing ME4 *cough cough*

there will be the usual militar background, who will somehow "justify" the presence of only buzzcut hairstyles.  -_-

Don't forget the receding hairline! There's one hairtsyle that would have been perfect for me (top half tied in a ponytail, bottom half loose)... except for the hair receding at the temples.

It would also be good if black eyebrows were actually black, and not grey/blue!

That's the hairstyle my current male human warrior is sporting and I dislike that receding hairline on him...no way I'd use it on my female. I've now made two males and one female human and plan one more PT with a female human. The first three had different hairstyles and I have no idea what I'll do for that last female. Each time I start a new game, I'm excited about starting my new character until I try to put hair on them...then my heart sinks and I sit there looking at the screen in despair.  :(

More hairs please. And I wouldn't mind the clipping, after all it's "just" a game and there is already more than enough clipping in it - the coats for example or the war horn on the warrior armors. So yes, I would love to see some more short, semi-long and long hairstyles. And braids.  My fem warriors and rogues  - and especially the female Qunaris - would love to wear their long hair in a nice braid.

If BW can't or won't do it then my last hope relies in the modding community...

Agreed.

What my girl and I think is worse than the hair is the super shiny effect that they put on the hair. Look at DA1 and DA2. No super shiny look to the hair. In fact the hair in DA:I looks like someone poured hair gel into the hair and facial hair and didn't bother to rinse it out.

I feel like making a longer post about this eventually, since it's so irritating, but for now I'll try to be concise.

Gender-neutral hair is a great idea, but Bioware implemented it badly. Having most of the hairstyles (even "feminine" ones) have sideburns and/or a receding hairline, is absolutely unacceptable, especially considering males don't have to have baldness at all. To me it seemed like they decided to give anyone all the options because they realized how few there truly were, and that's not cool. Let sideburns be in the Facial Hair section, not on hairstyles.

How could EA/BioWare be unaware of all the additional hair mods at Dragon Age Nexus for previous versions of DA and then offer a limited number of unisex styles in Inquisition? (And the modding community made a lot of game fixes when BioWare wouldn't fix them.)

Why did EA not include a toolkit for the Frostbite engine? Because it makes them look bad?

Hair is hard. I haven't seen any game do a fantastic job of it. Given the impressive work done on the character creator, I'm sure the developers are very well aware of it's limitations.

Secret World, AOC, age of Wushu, tomb raider..... The list goes on. It maybe hard, but bioware has never done a good job with hair... ever.... to my knowledge.

Bad hair is their trademark.

Because, if I have read it right some time ago, Frostbite is not entirely EA's. They don't have all the rights to do as they wish. (for example the sim have all the supports for modders. and is still EA)

And mods only help PC players anyway. So mods don't resolve the problem for 4/5 of the players.  -_-
