So still getting some better knowledge on 'best' ammo set-ups for my kits.

Two of my favourite characters are the Drell Adept and the Justicar, both similar powers, yet play so differently in awesome style.

The Justicar is less an issue because I've found the Adas has perfect synergy with the way I use her and after everything is Reave'd warp ammo just melts all.

The Drell I'm still running ammo test runs and just can't figure out what's working better. I use the Suppressor with him and that seems to work nicely, I could probably improve my dps slightly with a couple of other pistols, but I don't use that gun on anyone else and with him it feels right, so no gun change.

Reave, then some Cluster Grenades is a hugely satisfying combo, but he does need to deal with boss barriers, Phantoms can be tricky, but Banshees and especially Praetorians really need some work. There would seem to be more utility (ie. melting armor) with the same warp ammo and Reave combination, but would the added shield stripping of phasic or disruptor ammo serve him better? Or is the Warp combination just as good here because of Reave priming?

Thanks in advance

On both those kits I would always choose Warp ammo.
Reave can't be dodged or blocked by enemy bubbles, has a decent enough radius and no target cap so it's probably the best power in the game to combine with Warp ammo.

The Suppressor is not one of my favourite weapons and it's main advantage over other guns (the huge headshot modifier) has no effect on bosses, so it's never going to be the best at dealing with them. But if that's what you like then by all means stick with it.
Or bring a good secondary weapon like Alfonsdode suggests below.

Regarding Banshees, once they've stopped teleporting you can quite quickly kill them with Reave and Cluster Grenades. They can't block Reave and as long as you don't have them targetted as you throw your grenades then they won't block them either.

For Praetorians, you can keep stacking Reave on them as they fly around (they will deploy their power blocking bubble but it has no effect). Once they're on the ground then it's business as usual.
You can also force them to land if you want by advancing towards them until you're nearly in melee range - best to back off quickly after that.

U ll need a secondary weapon, cause supressor sucks against bosses. I use mostly drill with it (cranial stuff + magazine) but HB and warp ammo can be good too.

But if u want to use it against boss too, your team and your nade will do a faster job.

If U bring the Hurricane, problem solved.

Sorry, we don't answer threads that aren't about retirement.

But I echo the advice above, and also recommend Warp Ammo.

Asari Justicar Adept is one of my favorite characters to use on Platinum.

Reave, offensively spec'd Bubble, Warp Ammo, and (important!) Power Amplifier to make the stacking Reaves utterly ridiculous.

Drell Adept with the Venom is fun, still using Warp Ammo.

Drell - Falcon/Hurricane with warp ammo (I skip pull or else I'd use the Acolyte). Alternatively, just use the Harrier. You lose the power magnifier for clusters, and don't have on demand stagger for phantoms, but your overall DPS is pretty nuts, and it livens up the game a bit.

Justicar - Acolyte/CSMG for lift->reave fun for mooks, and reave->bubble (or bubble->reave) for armor and follow up with CSMG.

Power magnifiers and power amplifiers work wonders on these kits because clusters hit hard and reave stacks.

I use falcon on drell adept. He needs a stagger tool or a mook will kill you before you kill him

And as everyone's saying, always go for warp ammo when you're using an adept.

my builds:

drell adept (if you think pull sucks, you're wrong. try it yourself.)

justicar

Drell

You can forgo the last evo in his passives to get pull if you like but I find myself using pull very occasionally with him in particular. He has a pretty high inherent carry weight so you can get away with some heavier weapons if you like I've used damn near everything on him from a BW to a Claymore. Still lighter weapons seem to be better to me to stack reave on things. I think approach to that kit is as important to it as anything, you should always be damaging or sprinting to ammo boxes to refill. People call him a glass cannon but the character is actually a tank if played right IMO with all the movement speed, spike damage, and stagger that he has at his disposal.

Justicar

Don't give a damn how you build her but if you go with offensive bubble Geth Scanner is almost a must. You can figured out where the spawns are and more effectively use bubble. Krogan, Batarian, blah, blah, AJA is the tankiest ****** there is as far as Adepts. She is a biotic badass but is somewhat different to use.

you can't have too many staggers.

I also somehow haven't noticed whether reave staggers mook despite drell adept being one of my most played kits... I always double stun them with my awesome falcon :P

I would not max fitness instead (I have 3 points in my build). He's squishy with or without fitness anyway. that, and drell training is too awesome to miss.

To be fair, I don't think reave stuns Phantoms or Dragoons. Not sure about Dragoons but I'm pretty sure it doesn't stun phantoms, which is the big one. Falcon does allow for a safer, albeit slower gameplay, where as Arc Pistol, Acolyte, Harrier, Hurriane, Wraith, Claymore, etc allow for a lot more damage and faster gameplay once you get comfortable with him.

Skipping the movement speed buff from fitness on a Drell is heresy. Pull isn't good enough on him to drop those last 3 ranks in fitness.

I think reave will get dragoon on their knees sometimes so it does staggers.

edit: on second thought it might be because I somehow used disruptor rounds on justicar and shot him, not because reave. don't quote me on that plox

agreed. I'm only suggesting not maxing fitness. Mainly because so I can pull mooks and leave them to die w/ 5a evo

Or you can use a actually weapon other than the Falcon and shot the enemy in the goddamn head.

I'm too scrub to do that. I prefer shooting floor rather than head. <_< its also more fun. <_< <_<

Movement speed is more important in dishing out damage and surviving than pull. I actually like pull as a power but it's not really that useful on a drell adept. Everything that can be pulled can be killed just as easily and even faster with proper nade usage.

I find the 2 most comfortable with a stagger weapon (Falcon, Venom, etc.), take a sidearm like the Arc Pistol and you'll be both a mook exterminator and a boss killer.

Kit's for scrubs. Use the QME instead. Same two button wonder style but way better because a quarian's doing it.

I have no comment on the Justicar because I don't even know how it works. Haven't deployed either of them

I like Justicar as a quasi weapon platform with biotic debuffs. ARs work well on her, Lancer for sure. Here's what I've been using (if I had a fully leveled up Lancer): http://kalence.drupa...!34251384!G83AC

Keep Reave going at all times. Sphere for offense, get enemies inside at choke points then shoot 'em or detonate 'em with Reave.
