For once I'm bummed not to be a PC gamer.

I'm more excited for the new armor and schematics than anything else. And that I'll finally be able to fix the make-up on my first character.

Yeah, I was kidding about the handing them over thing. Not happening.

If it was possible though, people would be willing to jump in as has happened with moddable games.

Of course people would, everyone loves a good mod (or even a creatively implemented bad mod). I just don't see why so many people are all "oh Bioware sucks for not letting us mod inquisition" when they pretty much have no say in the issue.

All you guys asking for beta do not deserve it, its no to play and test the patch before everyone, you are suposed to activelly do stuff to test if the patch works, like craft stuff, try skils combo, tests quests that didnt start, check if items spec are properly working, etc.

And not just say fix the banter, or the controls need work.

I don't see why not. You can easily walk around Haven in amour and still be forced into the Skyhold outfit in the war room, so I would imagine not having to change models at all would be easier. Not to mention you're forced into Inquisition armour in a scene with bull, and the fact that your armour loads (meaning you're wearing it in Skyhold) when fast-traveling from there. Doesn't matter that it's only for an instant.

I would never say no to more outfits or the ability to change the colour of the existing one, but I think letting you wear armour would be the easiest, most cost effective, and the fastest. They can add new things later in patches or DLC.

There's an internal toggle that controls whether or not the inquisitor will appear with weapons/armor in Skyhold and the war room. CheatEngine can flip that toggle, which is how folk have been posting screenshots with their inquisitor wearing armor in Skyhold. From what I can tell based on the game's behavior, the game re-builds the inquisitor's model at set points. I have found two of them so far: (1) travel to Skyhold, and (2) switching armor/weapons while in Skyhold. Interestingly, switching armor but not weapons will only cause the armor to update; switching weapons will affect weapons but not armor. So it's perfectly possible to have the inquisitor wearing custom armor in Skyhold but not having a weapon.

In short, there's no technical reason for why Skyhold outfits are limited to undies.

From what I have read, the two real reasons for limiting Skyhold outfits are: (1) immersion, and (2) clipping. We currently have inquisitors executing folk while wearing beige undies; I'm not sure how much more immersion-breaking it would be to have the inquisitor running around in purple armor. Clipping is inevitable, and I really haven't seen any situation where it would wholly break the scene.

Anyways, looking forward to this patch, and hoping I can be of some use in the beta test.

Only important thing in this patch is this: We’re also including the option to adjust the size of subtitles. This is finally one majority thing needed for old gen consoles, to be able to actually read texts in the game. Nice that they included one line in middle of info about it and none even talks about it. Everyone is just more intrested in extra stuff that aren't needed but are wanted.

Hopefully these PC players who beta test the patch won't diminish option to adjust the size of subtitles cause I have heard that PC players don't have any problem with it unlike console and especially old gen players who can't read texts. Especially bad it is for deaf players who pretty much can't play until this option is implemented. So hopefully Bioware still releases that even though PC players might not need it, otherwise Patch 5 is going to be just another PC patch like patches 2-4.

This is one thing that will help a lot of people...people with poor eyesight, etc...It is a much needed update.

Thank you for the info! That's basically how I thought it worked. For the people who responded to my comment about it being "easy to fix", this is what I meant. If they wanted to do it, it would be very easy. The problem is they didn't want to before the game was released. I hope they do this now, because it would be an easy way to address some concern about the outfit.

And for people responding to me saying "radial menu is easy", Bioware's comment does not apply, just like above. They obviously didn't want a radial menu. I just think that's a horrible move, especially considering they have better tech now! I hope that maybe by the end of the DLC cycle, they could implement one. Wishful thinking, I know, but still...

Yep, people with dyslexia have hard time as well and it'd really help for lot of console players since this is thing people have been non-stop requesting since release and devs first just dismished it to TV problems which it isn't. Hopefully they make it work and keep it in final patch since all the other stuff is just extra, that one is important, it's even health issue to be able to read texts properly.

Having auto-attack would be a major improvement to the combat, especially if the attack button is the same in action cam and tac cam (right click). Other welcome changes would be an option to right click move in action cam and a higher max zoom level in tactical camera.

I think the one major change that is required to make combat in this game great instead of just good, would be the removal of the 8 ability limit. I still don't understand why we need that. It made levelling up in mid to late game less rewarding, and I bet it's the reason the devs couldn't include a decent tactics system.

Will the Black Emporium sell rare quest items like the decorative gems? Those quests were not important to the main quest and not the best way to gain influence and power.

i think thats on nvidia e amd, not really bioware, i recently updated my driver toguether with nvidia experience, and sudenly i'm experiencing the frame rate drop i heard about a few months ago here, i'm still holding out on patch 2 + hotfix, so if  game i never had problem before became unplayable with a driver update, the fault does not lie on bioware lap. god damn nvidia and their "performance" drivers instead of doing one that actually use the power of the ****** card ""

Do as I do and buy it on PC.

I'm a pretty specific console-only player- and I play DAI on Xbox One. But with Dragon Age I make an exception and buy the game on PC and Console both. Usually for mods- and usually I don't buy it right away. I've been holding off now for them to figure out how to mod it.

But I think I will probably buy it on PC now that the mods are coming along. This is the perfect opportunity.

Looking forward to this!

Now if they'd just scrap the way "hold" works now, and re-do it like it worked in the previous games, and do some fixes to the clunky tactical camera, I'd be very happy.

Of course, giving players proper control over companion tactics, like in the previous games, would also be highly desireable.

Just because I'm jumping up and down squealing 'PICK ME! PICK ME!' doesn't mean I don't know how to test software. I have some professional experience, even.

Never fill requisitions unless you have tons of the required mats burning a whole in your pocket. There, I just improved your DA:I experience by 17.23%.

So..I see no tatical view control changes..no noodle arms fixes, and definely no stuttering cinematics fix (it's not simply 30fps lock!!)

Still waiting!! But auto attack does make sense at least..

Party storage and auto attack, 2 basic features that should been there at launch. I wonder how much patches it will take to get a complete game.

*facepalm*

You have a complete game.

The fact that it doesn't control the way you like or have an extra feature that you wanted does not make the game incomplete.

facepalm all you want. You consider DAI as complete good for you.

Im more demanding, especially from a Dev with the pedigree of BioWare.
