Certainly. Well said.
My chief problem with DA:I is that I can't harvest/mine/tag logging and quarry sites. I can collect tons of everything, but the game refuses to acknowledge that I have. I can't finish a single requisition, upgrade Skyhold or spec out my Inquisitor. This means I cannot actually play the game - unless I use the CE or a trainer, which frankly kinda ruins the experience. This is a rather crucial feature and it is definitely broken. Consequently it has broken this game for me. No patch, hotifx, hoop or promise has fixed this for me. I'm still waiting to finish the thing. Being told I'm delusional or toxic p!sses me off. Being lectured by cretins for legit concerns also p!sses me off. But I'm still trying. I'm still here and hoping. I'm just not blind, nor servile, nor gullible. It will be what it is and I will judge it then - for myself - and adjust my attitude accordingly.
It's all anyone can do, really. I really hope this gets pulled off and things get cool again.
So if you harvest something it is not under crafting materials in your inventory? If that is the case I would suggest repairing or even reinstalling the game. This is the first I have heard of anyone having crafting materials not go into their inventory. If others have the same problem, it would be helpful to see if their system (console or PC) or even their ISP have anything in common that may be causing this issue.
On another note and, more on topic, yes Bioware made mistakes with DAI but, they are making an effort to correct them. It will take time and effort but, this beta program is a big step in the right direction. Testing and feedback for actual players on a variety of computers BEFORE releasing it to the public. Add to that the potential for the betas to test future patches and DLC, thus getting them released with a lot fewer bugs and glitches and, the devs interacting directly with a portion of the players plus the fact that if this works out as well as it has for other game producers, it may come to console players as well in the future. This is definitely a positive move that shows they are listening and, they do care about us. Now it will be up to the betas working with them and them working with the betas to make this work, and make it a good thing for all of us.
So, if you get selected for the beta, don't be a jerk in there, be constructive, honestly test the game, be honest but not rude and, keep your fingers and mouth quiet about what you are testing and we can work together and make DAI, and future DA games better, more enjoyable and, less problematic for everyone.
I'm involved in other, similar testing circles and i have seen this work first hand and, trust me, it makes a beautiful, amazing, fun, brilliant game when it works and, it feels pretty good to be a part of making that happen for every single player of the game.
