It was an unintentional exploit, it won't be back. If you want to do those things now, you can use third party programs in SINGLE PLAYER ONLY to duplicate mats but, only on PC so, it's upsetting console player and purists who will not use cheats or mods. Understandable but, it was an exploit and should never have been in the game to begin with.

I completely agree. They should patch out the identical exploits that have profoundly harmed the single player experience in DAO and DA2 for years as well.

This is rly rly important, guys. Super srs.

By the look of it Patch 5 is additional content, chest, face melter and so on, which has nothing to do with a previously marketed state.

They have learnt from that DAMP key glitch that a final chest (or beta here) will improve the chances of a bug-free implementation.

I certainly hope so.

So if you harvest something it is not under crafting materials in your inventory? If that is the case I would suggest repairing or even reinstalling the game. This is the first I have heard of anyone having crafting materials not go into their inventory. If others have the same problem, it would be helpful to see if their system (console or PC) or even their ISP have anything in common that may be causing this issue.

On another note and, more on topic, yes Bioware made mistakes with DAI but, they are making an effort to correct them. It will take time and effort but, this beta program is a big step in the right direction. Testing and feedback for actual players on a variety of computers BEFORE releasing it to the public. Add to that the potential for the betas to test future patches and DLC, thus getting them released with a lot fewer bugs and glitches and, the devs interacting directly with a portion of the players plus the fact that if this works out as well as it has for other game producers, it may come to console players as well in the future. This is definitely a positive move that shows they are listening and, they do care about us. Now it will be up to the betas working with them and them working with the betas to make this work, and make it a good thing for all of us.

So, if you get selected for the beta, don't be a jerk in there, be constructive, honestly test the game, be honest but not rude and, keep your fingers and mouth quiet about what you are testing and we can work together and make DAI, and future DA games better, more enjoyable and, less problematic for everyone.

I'm involved in other, similar testing circles and i have seen this work first hand and, trust me, it makes a beautiful, amazing, fun, brilliant game when it works and, it feels pretty good to be a part of making that happen for every single player of the game.

All well said. I agree.  Personally, I'll leave the testing to those better qualified.  As to my problem, I have tons and tons of stuff.  I can craft armor and weapons.  I cannot fulfill requisitions because it doesn't update.  I can, for instance, collect buckets of elfroot and still have "you need ten elfroot" - for everything that requires elfroot.  Nothing I've done changes it.  "You need 20 obsidian to be an artificer".  Cool - here's seven metric tons of the stuff.  "You need 20 obsidian to be an artificer". Oy.

It'd drive me to drink if I weren't already drinking.  Heavily too.  :)

Errat did say his PC was close to recommended. As much as it sucks it is sort.of par for the course for this type of game to break on certain setups. Inquisition doesn't have the benefit of modding to fix it unfortunately. I'm glad I got it for ps4.

It's definitely one of the downsides of the PC, certainly.  More's the pity.  It'll get modded though.  There's a whole community of people out there who smile broadly when they're told they can't.

Who actually ever said the game was in an "ideal state"?

I'm pretty damn sure there's no such thing as an ideal state in software development anyway, let alone when designing a massive RPG.

Happy for this bit of news; not only do they put stuff in that IMO should have been at release (the auto-attack and storage at least), but also adding the Black Emporium for free and fan testers is great. Hopefully this one doesn't break the shaders :P.

Very happy that this patch is going to fix many of my main gripes with DA:I! Now they just need to do these, and I'll be really really happy.

- Tinting for Skyhold outfit/being able to wear armour in Skyhold, like Haven. It's very possible, and I doubt it would be difficult.

- More hairstyles that don't include sideburns and/or a receding hairline so I can use them for females.

- Tactics from DA:O/DA2! I doubt it'll happen, but still hoping...

- Not having a strange white hair/leather thing appear when wearing hats. A better system should have been implemented before launch, but there's still time!

Edit: - Adding faces as presets!

This is pretty much everything I could want from a patch. I'm honestly kind of surprised (but pleasantly so) that it wasn't DLC.

Can someone tell what this "dupe glitch" is? Everyone has been talking about it, but I've never my crafting materials doubled.

To be precise 'was' it's gone.

It was a trick to increase your stuff when selling and buying.

I've honestly never seen anyone endorse glitches until I came to BSN lol

Well...wait I lied... I'm pretty sure a raiding team I was on relied on a glitch to defeat a boss a couple of times...

This is nothing compared to the Borderlands forums.

'What do you mean they fixed in a glitch with the Bee Shield'

'Evil Smasher fixed, you're kidding me' etc.

So the items show in your inventory but, don't register when you go to the requisition table? Are you certain it's crafting material or, does something else show as missing when you try to complete the item at the table? Requisitions all require multiple items.

Mike Laidlaw said they are looking into alternative outfits (probably no armor) for Skyhold, but it's not high on their priority list
