I would not mind taking part in the beta if I am selected.

I do have a question: Is the Black Emporium the one in Kirkwall or is it the DA equivalent of the Captain's Table where its a magical, anywhere?

It looks conspicuously like the one in Kirkwall. Which makes me a happy Dreamer.

Just curious if we could readjust Hawke's appearance as well.
Probably not ![]()

So the items show in your inventory but, don't register when you go to the requisition table? Are you certain it's crafting material or, does something else show as missing when you try to complete the item at the table? Requisitions all require multiple items.
You're thinking maybe that the message he's getting is wrong? He's got enough elfroot but doesn't have enough of the other stuff?

I wouldn't mind becoming a beta tester. Also, I have a feeling that the Black Emporium is DLC, which I guess was inevitable. But that's ok, being able to redo my character's faces are worth it. I just hope the art assets for the Black Emporium aren't reused from Dragon Age 2. We already have seen some of the animations from DA2 return and for me, they could use a ton of polish.

That's quite swell of them ![]()

Probably not
That would be a shame.
I rushed recreating my Hawke's face just to see him again but I kept seeing all that I did wrong with him in cutscenes. And I'm too far into the game to just reload a previous save.

Mike Laidlaw said they are looking into alternative outfits (probably no armor) for Skyhold, but it's not high on their priority list
I don't see why not. You can easily walk around Haven in amour and still be forced into the Skyhold outfit in the war room, so I would imagine not having to change models at all would be easier. Not to mention you're forced into Inquisition armour in a scene with bull, and the fact that your armour loads (meaning you're wearing it in Skyhold) when fast-traveling from there. Doesn't matter that it's only for an instant.
I would never say no to more outfits or the ability to change the colour of the existing one, but I think letting you wear armour would be the easiest, most cost effective, and the fastest. They can add new things later in patches or DLC.

Some of the priorities before release seem odd to me. We have a store in Val Royeaux specializing in selling useless junk Skyhold customizations and the Quizzies skyhold clothes weren't included.
Post release though, I get it as several other issues have to be sorted first.

Possibly, or it's simply difficult to read, as I know the game is on some consoles.
As for Skyhold clothing, yeah I can see why it isn't a priority, it doesn't affect gameplay and, there are several third party means of changing it. That isn't a bug or glitch and, is a minor part of the story though, aesthetically, i hate the default outfit and recolors there of. Just leaving armor on in Skyhold would be better. hence I use CE to do just that. Interesting side effect is helms remaining visible in cutscenes, if equipped and not in Skyhold (except on Quizzy)
Patch 5 does have a lot of exciting things in it, if all goes according to plan, I'm looking forward to it going live.

While the bulk of this stuff should have been at launch, it's good we are getting this stuff at least. Thank god for auto attack being implanted....
Hopefully I can participate in the beta.

I understand that. It's terribly convenient. See, I thought they had people who had the real paying job of testing it all beforehand and releasing it as complete as possible, rather than half-arsing it and having to fix massive screw-ups for months afterward. I'm actually patient. And reasonable. Yes, yes, I am, you can believe it. I have no problem waiting a couple of extra months to play a game with minimal hassles than get a buggered one for Xmas that I have to wait until spring to actually play.
So, if that's intolerant and "douchey", well, hell, I have no excuses. I am the toxic 1% then and it's all my own fault.
People didn't ****** when InXile outsourced almost all of their art and graphic assets for Wasteland 2, despite the fact that they were barely being paid for it. As for the patch itself...well, the fixes are nice bonus features that will enhance the game. Seems like a bunch of little things people want to me.
I'm just hoping that this will give people a chance to finally shut the hell up for once, and maybe see if there is some feedback that's constructive. Or at the very least, learn a thing or two about the process in the end. One can hope, at least.

As anyone with a mod of the texture is aware, it's intertwined with the armor. The armor are all just layers on top of the outfit. Messing around with anything more then a texture (because the textures are at least different) means messing with all the armors as well.

Here's the deal with the Skyhold outfit:

I was curious about how some bits that showed through the armor seemed to be the same as the Skyhold casual wear. It's unfortunate that they made it like this though. It would've been nice to have more flexibility with the outfits.

Its the way they made all the outfits and armors. You won't find a single piece of armor that has skin textured into it like other games. It's all done in layers - characters are now literally wearing clothes.I was curious about how some bits that showed through the armor seemed to be the same as the Skyhold casual wear. It's unfortunate that they made it like this though. It would've been nice to have more flexibility with the outfits.
Take Isabelas outfit. Her DA2 texture has her cleavage and skin right there. That same model was ported into DAI (some mercs in the Western Approach are wearing it) but the skin parts were removed because they weren't needed.

I legitimately expected them as DLC.
...which I would consider a reasonable expectation, seeing as the Emporium was DLC in DA2. This will do well to gain a lot of favour among fans as a whole (you get individuals in any direction no matter what they do).
This feels like reintroducing cut content, so it is great to see it for everybody ![]()

Storage and item tinting just made my day!
I'd also really like to see extra hotbar slots. Eight is such a ridiculously low limit, especially for us completionists who easily end up with enough levels to slot at least 2-3 more skills.

Thanks for finally introducing these highly needed features and more. Now I just need a mod that collects all collectables for me and I can start a new playthrough.

What does an "auto-attack key" mean?
The word key makes me afraid that auto attack will only be for PC.

I'd like for them to implement auto attack for the controller as well because I use my 360 controller to play DA:I on my PC. I just can't bear to use that horrible implementation of wasd tactical camera movement. Ugh.
